ji na has been in dc for three years. she likes being in america, but at first it was a huge adjustment. after several months in dc, she finally published her first physical copy of a book. it took her a while to find the write genre for her, but now that she's confident in romantasy, it's been so much easier for her to write. she doesn't get writers block the way she used to. she has made a nice life for herself here, even finding the love of her life, irene.

stolas misses his home. he knows that his life there had changed drastically, but still, it was his home. he doesn't dislike dc, it's interesting, but he would do anything to be at home, with those he loves the most. it has been a challenge for him to get used to fully living in the human world. he's finally starting to settle, he's found a job as an astronomy teacher that he's very happy with.

it didn't take long for magnus to settle into dc, but he still feels like he doesn't belong. he has a life where he's from, and people he loves dearly. he's made a good life for himself though. he's become an event planner. he loves being able to throw himself into work. it temporarily helps the sadness of being away from his loved ones.

atticus knew he'd meet new people given his current circumstances. he was surrounded by strangers , magic and supernatural beings. it was all a little overwhelming for a guy who'd only been brought back to life recently. this stranger was like the others , a piece in the puzzle he was attempting to solve. “ hello. i don't mean to sound rude ... i'm just wondering ... are you from here ? ”

magnus shakes his head. "i'm not from here, no." he smiles. "it's okay. i understand. it's my eyes right? that's my warlock mark." he holds his hand out to shake the others. "i'm magnus bane. i'm going to assume you're also not from here? a new arrival possibly?"

zephyr knew he was taking forever , simply staring at the menu behind the register. even as he sensed someone behind him , he didn't seem to rush. still , an inkling of guilt did start to pull on his conscious. eventually , he gave in and turned towards the stranger. “ sorry , ” he apologized before he could talk himself out of it. “ there's just … so many options … hard to decide , you know ? ”

kieran shakes his head, smiling at the other. "oh it's no problem. take your time. i honestly was still trying to figure out what i wanted to order anyways. everything looks so good. you could always get a few things to try?"

magnus frowns. "ah. i see. i am sorry to hear that." he shrugs. "i'm magnus. sorry to have seemed so familiar, i recognize you from home."

kieran can't help but to laugh a bit. "that's understandable. is he here in dc then?" he thinks about his relationship with his father, and agrees with the other. he's glad he doesn't have to see his father ever again. "that's the best type of reporter i think. i bet you'd be great at it."

Blitzo had thought about this moment for a while, how he would react or what he would say if he saw Stolas in DC. However, all of those plans had gone through the window when he heard the owl , well, former owl, call his name, and he couldn't help but smile a bit, hugging him back when he hugged him. "i've missed you too. you sure took your sweet time getting here, huh?" he teased.

stolas laughs. "i did didn't i? how long have you been here?" hugging blitzo makes him feel happier than he has been since getting to dc. "it feels like it's been a million years, but for me it's only been a few months since i arrived."

She spoke up in a curt tone to the man. She rolled her eyes as he moved behind them, and then turned her attention to the woman in front of her, "Men, right? I swear, it's like we don't exist to them half the time."

"Do you know the best places to get blood bags around here?" If she was truly dead, it was strange she still needed blood for nutrients. She preferred from the source, but was unsure how her compulsion would work here.

Alec was at a loss for words. He had been looking for his husband for so long that he had almost given up. Telling himself that Magnus would be safer in New York, but seeing him in front of him right now, he was so happy to see the man. He moved to hug him, trying to keep it together. "It's really you, right?"

magnus pulled alec into his arms, unable to stop the tears. "it's really me. i've been looking for you for so long." despite the tears, he was beaming. he had finally found his husband. he didn't think he would be this happy ever again. "oh i've missed you."
