Everyone’s losing their shit over Sims 4 parenthood and I’m just sat here still playing The Sims 2 ahaÂ
Legacy Challenge Part 5
Hey guys, sorry it’s been a while since my last update. Haven’t been able to find as much time to play lately, so have had to take things a bit slower with the challenge, but still going strong! Hope you enjoy this instalment! —– Part One - Click Here Part Two - Click Here Part Three - Click Here Part Four - Click Here —–
The stress of catching  Arianna cheating with Steven the housemaid had taken its toll on Jayc and he was really starting to show his age. He could no longer bear the thought of sleeping in the same bed as his adulterous girlfriend and so took to catching some Z’s on the living room sofa instead.
Arianna tried her best to make amends, but her sheepish attempts at apologising fell only on deaf ears...
And the ghost of Jayc’s ex girlfriend Demi seemed to be taking a sadistic kind of pleasure in her rejection!
Having fired Steven from his job as the house maid, and forbidden Arianna from having him over, the house and gardens quickly became untidy and it didn’t take long before there was an infestation of cockroaches on the lot.
Reluctant to hire any outside help after the last fiasco, and not trusting Arianna to keep the place in order while he was away at work, Jayc decided to take matters in to his own hands. He took to his mothers old workshop in the East Wing of the house and set about crafting a solution to the problem.
Meanwhile, Arianna had a brand new problem of her own to deal with. After suffering with morning sickness for several days in a row, she realised her worst fears had been confirmed. She’d fallen pregnant, and had no way of knowing yet who the potential father was!
With seemingly no one to confide in about her worries, she sought comfort in an unlikely pal, and set about making friends with the mysterious looking dog with glowing eyes that had started showing up in the evenings.
Meanwhile, with his parents both acting strange and seemingly at war with one another, little Mica took to binge eating late at night to cope...
But luckily enough, any puppy fat that he may have accumulated was swiftly taken care of with the growth spurt that accompanied his coming of age. Side note: I’d been giving my legacy sims the family aspiration up until now as I thought that was the way to go, but after re-reading the rules of the challenge, decided that from now on I’ll roll for their aspiration when they reach teenager status. I like that this adds some randomness to the equation and makes things a bit more of a challenge. I rolled a 4 for Mica which gives him the romance aspiration.
Soon enough, Arianna found herself in labour...
Baby Chantelle was born...
And with those ginger eyebrows, there was absolutely no question that her father was Steven - the former maid that Arianna had had her ill fated affair with. Without the Foundation family name, this made Chantelle ineligible to continue the legacy...
Nevertheless, Mica was still overjoyed to welcome his new half sister in to the world!
Jayc, on the other hand, still needed to sleep on it. Would Arianna and Jayc be able to put their differences aside and take care of the new baby? Would Mica grow in to a worthy enough successor to continue the family legacy? All will be revealed.

Looking for new simblrs to follow!
Just a little preview shot of a new interior build I’ve been working on (still a WIP). I wanted to challenge myself and try and create a studio apartment that would be fully functional despite working with a very limited space! The bedroom, living area, kitchen and dining room are all in one. The only other room is a 3x2 bathroom (not pictured) :)Â
whether your story is a legacy or just regular game play, i want to check your blog out !! i need more simblrs like mine on my dash :)
Legacy Challenge Part 4
----- Part One - Click Here Part Two - Click Here Part Three - Click Here —–
With the latest addition to the family, Mica, already excitedly crawling all around the place, his parents, Arianna and Jayc would surely have their work cut out for them...
But as much as he would have loved to spend more time with his son, Jayc had a job to hold down...
And so off to work he went!
Being a parent came naturally to Arianna. She quickly fell in to a comfortable routine, and saw to it that little Mica was always well looked after during the time his father was away at work.
And whenever she started to feel lonely and miss the adult interaction, the new maid Steven was always around to keep her company.
As a former maid herself, the two of them had a lot in common, and were never short of things to talk about.
And Arianna could always appreciate a man who took good care of her home, and himself...
After collecting his pay check at the end of each working day, Jayc always found time to embrace the challenges of fatherhood and set about teaching Mica to walk.
And thanks to his two attentive parents, by the time Mica’s next birthday came around he was already quite the accomplished little sim!Â
Arianna and Jayc invited their closest family friends around for a party to celebrate his coming of age...
And oh what a handsome young man their son had grown to be!
With Mica boarding the big yellow bus for his first day at public school, and Jayc setting off for work once more...
Arianna and Steven had the house to themselves...
One thing led to another, and before either of them could process what was happening...
They were interrupted mid WooHoo by Jayc, who had arrived home from work earlier than anticipated...
Caught in the act, Steven sheepishly made a run for it...
And left Arianna with a hell of a lot of explaining to do! Would Mica make the most of his education? Would Jayc and Arianna’s relationship be able to survive her affair? Find out next time...

Side notes: Alright so I definitely set up the drama for this part more so than any previous instalment, but having the perfect little family was getting a bit boring so I decided to throw a spanner in the works! Hehe :) I have to say there’s been a definite slow down in ghostly behaviour in the house lately, even with 4 tombstones on the lot, so I’ll be interested to see how that plays out next time.
Here’s a new house I started working on today. None of it’s furnished (yet), but I’ve been taking a lot more interest in exterior home design lately, particularly porches and gardens and I have to say I’m pretty pleased with how this is turning out so far :)Â
Legacy Challenge Part 3

Part One - Click Here Part Two - Click Here —–
After his last two relationships had both ended in tragedy, Jayc decided to set his sights on someone a little closer to home - Arianna. She was the maid who’d been hired after his mothers house cleaning robot inventions had proved to be unreliable.
Things started out innocently enough, but there was undeniable chemistry between the two of them and a romance was on the cards.
After finishing her shift late one Friday evening, Jayc invited Arianna upstairs to the hot tub for a cuddle and a soak...
He mustered up the courage to ask her to move in with him, and to his delight she gleefully accepted his proposal.
Arianna was an excellent addition to the household. She kept the house tidy and cooked regular meals for both Jayc and his mother Kimberly.Â
And it wasn’t long before she fell pregnant!
But with several ghosts, (including those of his previous lovers) haunting the lot, Jayc was concerned for both the safety of Arianna and his unborn child. He couldn’t bear the thought of one of them frightening her to death!
Especially as his mother Kimberly had had such a close call herself earlier on in the week...
He ordered Arianna to get plenty of bed rest while pregnant, and hired outside help so she could ease up on some of the more laborious cleaning duties. In stepped new maid, Steven.Â
Confident that his wife was safe and taking it easy at home, Jayc headed off for his first day of work at his new job as a City Council Member.
Meanwhile Kimberly (still on edge from that ghostly encounter with her son’s ex Demi) tried her best to keep herself distracted by heading back to the workshop for another round of robot building.
But old age was fast catching up with her, and soon her days were numbered...
She’d lived a long and fulfilling life, and it was with a heavy heart that Death, (accompanied this time by his hulu dancing zombie girlfriends) sent her crossing over to the other side.
A tombstone (reflecting her achievement of fulfilling her Lifetime Aspiration) was erected at the front of the lot. Â It was a bittersweet time for Jayc, for no sooner had he had time to process the death of his mother..
Than Arianna went in to labour, and his son was born!
They named him Mica.
Arianna took to motherhood like a duck to water...
As too did Jayc, who after so much loss in his life, was overjoyed to finally have a son to call his own.
What new adventures lay in store for Jayc and Arianna? And what exactly would the future hold for little baby Mica?Â
TO BE CONTINUED Sidenotes: It’s actually really sad how fast sims lives go by when I’m playing a legacy family because as silly as it sounds I really do grow quite attached to them!  Also I was pretty proud of myself for having Kimberly reach the highest level in her career path AND achieve her lifetime aspiration - that’s a first for me! It was pretty cool to see the death animation with the hula dancers and the gold rimmed gravestone for the first time!

Legacy Challenge Part 2
-----
This legacy challenge is proving to be a lot more difficult than I originally anticipated. After reading this part, you’ll understand why! Part One - Click Here -----
Picking up from where we last left off, Jayc (son of founding legacy sim Kallum), was now a fully fledged adult. His fathers death had been a wake up call, and now it was time for him to get a job, find love and keep the family name alive!
It didn’t take long to see for himself exactly what he’d been missing out on in his youth!
Things moved fast with his first love Demi...
But unfortunately it was not to be. Mere days after falling pregnant and moving in to the family home, Demi collapsed in the kitchen from starvation. A crash diet gone too far?
Jayc pleaded for her life…
But Death had no mercy, and he found himself alone once more.
Whilst his mother Kimberly learned to craft toy robots on her weekends off from work…
Newly single Jayc donned a cheesy suit and took up a job as a campaign worker in the political career to distract himself from the grief.
Not one to give up on his hopes of raising a happy family of his own and continuing the Foundation legacy, he set off on a series of dates with the young ladies of downtown Veronaville.
It wasn’t long before he met Jill.
And though the ghosts of his past were never far away, they quickly fell in love.
Jayc introduced his new girlfriend Jill to his mother, and shortly thereafter invited her to move into the house.
Their love continued to flourish…
and Jill fell pregnant! ‘Perhaps everything is going to work out OK this time’ Jayc thought to himself.
Meanwhile, the robots that Kimberly had been crafting in her spare time as a means of helping the family with their chores were doing more harm than good; malfunctioning left, right and centre and turning the house and gardens into something more akin to a scrapyard.
Touching down back home after a day of meetings and business trips around the world in her private jet, Kimberly was shocked to see the mess her creations had caused…
But it was Jayc who took the initiative to shut them down and finally get rid of them for good.
As it turned out though, the robots were to be the least of their problems. After falling sick with a stomach bug and failing to take proper care of herself and the little one brewing inside of her, Jill collapsed that very same evening on the bathroom floor.
This all seemed so terribly familiar to poor Jayc...
But this time he fought back harder than before. He pleaded for Jill’s life and Death, having seen the pain in his eyes, took mercy upon him and restored her back to life.
A thanks was most certainly in order!
Sadly, the relief was to be short-lived. Just one day away from giving birth, the ghost of Jayc’s father, founding sim Kallum, snuck up on Jill and frightened her to death. She collapsed once more on the cold bathroom floor…
And though Kimberly got down on her knees and pleaded, just as Jayc had, to strike a deal with Death...
This time around she was unsuccessful. Jill had met a cruel, untimely fate, and like Demi before her, her gravestone was placed at the front of the lot.
Will Jayc find love once more and continue the Foundation family bloodline? Or will his biological clock continue to tick away until tragedy befalls both him and his mother? Tune in to part 3 to find out!

Whew! What a ride.
Sidenote:
Why are pregnant sims so darn difficult to take care of? Kimberly’s pregnancy went without a hitch but now they all just seem to keep dropping like flies! I guess it’s only going to get more difficult from here on out with all the ghosts on the lot, but I’m trying to play by the rules so I don’t want to get rid of the tombstones. It’s certainly frustrating but hey, at least it makes for interesting storytelling! :) As always, happy simming guys!
My very own Simself :) AKA. The more conventionally attractive, pixelated version of me! :D

I’m new to the simblr world and honestly its a bit overwhelming, but I thought to kick off my blog what better way than to have a give away. Legacy Challenge Part 1
----- So I recently made the decision to attempt The Legacy Challenge using The Sims 2 Complete Collection, and (as I love documenting my sims lives anyway), I thought it would be a great idea to take you guys along for the ride! Each part will chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new generation of sims. The goal of this challenge (if you aren’t familiar already) is to try and succeed in creating a bloodline that follows through 10 generations of family - no cheating allowed! I’ll be sticking to the rules as closely as I can, though I won’t be keeping a record of my points as in all honesty I’m not much of a fan of numbers and I have a hard enough time as it is just trying to keep my sims alive! Right, now that’s covered - let’s get in to it! :) -----
Our story begins with one Mr Kallum Foundation, a family sim with a fairly well rounded personality...
Out alone in the big wide world for the first time, Kallum headed straight for the town of Veronaville. With what little money he had to his name, he was able to purchase a lot and furnish it sparsely. He didn’t have much, but it was a start. ‘This will do for now’ he thought to himself…
He knew from the get go that it wasn’t going to be an easy challenge, and that it would mean starting out from the very bottom and working his way up. But Kallum was undeterred. With little more than hope in his heart and a fire in his soul, he was determined that he could really make a go of it!Â
He knuckled down and did his homework, studying as hard as he could in the hopes of one day achieving his lifetime goal of becoming a big shot in the Law Enforcement career. He searched the local newspaper for jobs, and jumped at the chance to become a Security Officer. At last he had a foot in the door!Â
But the long hours and low wages were hard on Kallum, and he needed to let off some steam. One evening after work he met a young townie named Kimberly whilst bowling in the Downtown neighbourhood. ‘She’s beautiful’ he thought to himself, ‘and charming too!’. He couldn’t believe his luck...
And so, he made his move! He took her home and one thing led to another. Love blossomed quickly between them, and the next logical step was for Kimberly to move in. With the two of them both working, money wasn’t as much of an issue. They were able to share the load between them and slowly, piece by piece, put together the home they’d always dreamed of.
Shortly thereafter, Kimberly fell pregnant.
And after an arduous labour...
She gave birth to a handsome (and most importantly, healthy!) little boy...
who himself soon became a toddler! They named him Jayc (pronounced Jake), and furnished his nursery room walls with a variety of paintings that Kallum had lovingly created in his spare time.
It was a joyous time for everyone. There were no shortage of parties and celebrations for the family and their friends in the weeks and months that followed.
Jayc (who had a penchant for alternative hairstyles from a very early age, ahem ^_^ ) made a wonderful addition to the family. He excelled in his school studies, and consistently brought home grades that made both his parents proud. He was rewarded for all his hard work with his very own bedroom arcade machine.
The time flew by and Jayc soon found himself celebrating his 13th birthday. It was official, he was a teenager!
His father Kallum grew old too…
Although he was never too old to enjoy a tempting plate of delicious pancakes, a long time favourite sweet treat.
With hard work comes great rewards, and that much was certainly true in the case of the Foundation family. Their house was growing, as were they, and it wasn’t long before Kallum and Kimberly had set enough money aside to jet off on their first family vacation…
To the East Asian island of Twikkii! It was a welcome and much needed break from the house they’d been cooped up in for so long, and it gave them all the perfect opportunity to reflect on the successes in their lives so far, and soak up the native culture.
After spending three nights away in a gorgeous villa where they socialised with other tourists and learned the ways of the local Ninjas, they all returned home feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! ‘I’d love to visit here again some day’ thought Kimberly.
‘When I’m older, I’m gonna buy my own house out here’ thought Jayc.
Back home meant back to work for both Kimberly and Kallum, and back to school for young Jayc. Despite his old age, Kallum continued to excel in the workplace, and had been slowly but surely climbing the ladder of success. After a series of promotions, he was bringing home a steady, respectable income with his job as a senior police lieutenant and was well regarded amongst his colleagues and within the wider community.
And Kimberly did even better; reaching the top ranks of the business career, making a name for herself in Veronaville as something of a tycoon, exceeding all expectations and proving once and for all to anyone who had doubted her that she was more than just a pretty face!
She too grew old. though through it all, her love for Kallum never once waivered.
Sadly, as the saying goes, ‘all good things must come to an end.’ Kallum lived a long and fulfilling life but passed away peacefully at the family home one afternoon of old age. His tombstone was placed at the front of the lot so he would always remain close by. But as one story ends here, another surely begins?
Kallum’s son, Jayc, was now a fully fledged adult himself, and (having ditched the dyed hair of his youth in favour of a more natural look) the spitting image of his father in his younger days - a worthy heir if ever there was one!
And so, it fell to him to take the reigns. Now it was his turn to head out in to the world - to get a job, to find love, and most importantly of course, to keep the family name alive! :)
