First painting I've finished since 2022 (I think?). It's a huge relief to have rediscovered a workflow (and some amazing brushes) that allow me to finally have some joy in painting again; I've abandoned so many paintings over the past year because it was difficult for me to enjoy the process. Process under the cut:

Pain concept: a durge with orin as their dream guardian. A durge with no other close connections for the emperor to tap into. A durge that truly did love and trust their sister more than anyone else, a trust so deep that it's instinctual, even with a lack of memory. Especially with a lack of memory. A trust so deep that durge never saw the betrayal coming and that was exactly their downfall.
