Hi there, lovely stranger!

This blog was on hiatus for roughly a decade before I slowly started using it again a few months ago. I've gone through my old posts and reblogs to declutter and get rid of some fandom content that no longer aligns with who I am and what I stand for. While I've been diligent, I am human, and I ask that you excuse any oversights on my part.

These days, I post little, and when I do, it's not necessarily the content my blog used to be known for. But for the moment, I'm just trying to have some fun within the confines of this old happy place of mine.

Eyes here, he demanded in that deep, somber voice of his, and in her head, he demands it still. Eyes here, eyes here, eyes here. [...]

She imagines her hand wrapped around his wrist, fingertips resting against his pulse point, right where his magic is closest to the surface, caressing that calming, amber-coloured glow. She imagines the heavy, reassuring weight of his hand on her shoulder, a thumb drawing soothing circles into her skin. Insanely, she imagines his hand holding hers, their fingers intimately intertwined.

Somehow, @empyreanevents has done it again: I saw the prompts for Romance Week 2026, realised that one of my wips fit the prompt for day two, unrequited, well enough, and proceeded to flesh out and post said wip in record time. Initially, this was supposed to be a short, smutty ficlet, but expanding it in the direction of unrequited love and genuine pining to make it fit the prompt was so much fun!

This is... not the type of content I used to post on this blog when it was still active some ten years ago, but here we are: I wrote a thing.

I haven't written fanfiction in well over a decade, but somehow, my obsession with Slain resulted in a lengthy piece I'm contributing to @empyreanevents #slainweek2026 -- who would've thought. I've been working on this one for a little while now, and it's neither my favourite wip nor the one I thought would see the light of day before all others, but I realised it works with the prompt for day 6 (redemption), and sometimes you just need a little push to hit post.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I just finished the first fanfic I've written in over a decade. I used to write when I was a younger teen but fell out of the habit when life got too stressful for me to keep up with most of my hobbies. Last year, I started writing again on a whim (kudos to my insane obsession with the ship I have been writing about), and I've got several mostly finished wips, one of which I finally finished tonight. It'll have to be proofread (again), of course, but I can actually see myself publishing it pretty soon. Feeling very satisfied and a tad giddy!

fanfiction is a rare gem and a solid, living proof that, in a world of tiktok, influencers and content posting, not everything is about money and going viral. art can still be art just for the sake of the artists’ pure love, joy and passion for the art they create. fanfic writers write 100k words and more about the characters they love for free. just because they love these characters and the art of writing so much. art is not dead and the world is still beautiful.

The girl in the woods is not lost. She is exploring.

The girl is not scared. She is not unnerved by the darkness of the clawing shadows cast by the trees in the late-afternoon sun. She is not bothered by the thorns and branches that tug at her clothes and scratch at her skin.

She is young enough to carry fear with her without letting it into her heart. Without being scared.
