We'll always be here for you.
Fiona didn’t hate Mickey. I don’t think she even disliked him.
Honestly I’ve always interpreted them as being quite cordial but I’ve interpreted Mick as being cordial with all the Gallaghers. I mean that may not be everyone’s belief but it’s certainly mine.
But for Fiona, I don’t think she hated him. She wasn’t ever really opposed to them. She wasn’t too bothered when Mickey was staying with them in season four. She seemed fond of him in season five. And even moments like “I didn’t”-in all fairness to her, she saw Mickey bolt out that room after they saw Ian, and she already knew he was wigged out by hospitals. She kind of expected it because that’s all she knows-someone gets close to the Gallagher family, they leave. Someone sees the crazy, like Frank and Monica, they leave.
But before that they were cordial, she asked if he was okay after they visited Ian, she knew Ian would be happy to see him, she asked where he was at the pool party, she recognised that it was difficult for Mickey to see Ian in the pysch ward, she seemed proud when he called Ian his boyfriend. She always seemed tolerant of him, if not quite fond.
Her priority was always Ian though. Always. Liking someone doesn’t mean caring about them deeply. Fiona liked Mickey and maybe she started to care about him, but between him and Ian it was always going to be Ian. That’s her baby brother.
And when she says “Mickey would set a match to it” she was right. Mickey was an escaped convict on the run, that wasn’t the life Ian needed. She wasn’t talking about the Mickey who kissed Ian goodnight and stocked up on vitamins, she was talking about a man on the run for attempted murder. She was right.
She seemed happy when they got back together in prison. She didn’t hate him.
I’m tired of people acting like she was a jealous bitch or just hated Mickey. She was being protective because Ian’s her baby. She raised him.
mickey and ian are high and dryhumping on their couch rn in case anyone was wondering
stop cause why are his eyes literally 🥺 in this scene my favorite sad puppy dog eyes
I'm not comfortable with the idea of Ian apologizing to Mickey, for leaving, for taking the decisions he took. I don't deny that Ian's actions hurt Mickey. We see Mickey devastated in S5, when he discover about the porno, when he discover Ian is gone with Monica, when he breaks up. But... Ian doesn't actes as he does because he's selfish. During season 5, he is manic, so his action hurts Mickey but it's not willingly. Ian breaks up with him because is traumatised by his family's lines during the audience infront of the military courth. He is paniced when he sees the choices his mother made. Fiona comparing him to Monica didn't help either. Ian doesn't visit Mickey in prison because, it's so hard to see him behind this glass. Ian is walking on a weir in S6, wanting to manage his meds alone, wanting to be responsible of his disorder. Counting on day to day life support from his family visibly doesn't work well for Ian, and he has to find other sollutions. So, being deprived of Ian's presence in prison is crual for Mickey, but Ian has his bipolar disorder to manage, and seeing Mickey without reaching him could have been a trigger. Shitty talk... to me it's a cooping mechanism. Just before being arrested, Mickey promessed to be there. But, he's not there anymore, in prison for fiveteen years. He did what he did to Samie to protect Ian, obviously, and because he was devastated, but it just separated him from Ian. So, I can't understand a part of Ian's reaction. The shitty talk is awkward from the writer, but Ian also says he miss Mickey, seems imediatly worried when the cops show up. So, Ian just coops to life with out Mickey with that shitty talk. At least, and sorry to be so chatty, Ian apologizes to Mickey sometimes. He says I'm sorry at the border, he says I'm sorry when he refuse to maried in 10x09. It's probably due to his insecurities, but except in Hall of shame, Mickey doesn't blames Ian for leaving. Even if he's in pain, Mickey understands that his bipolar disorder is a burden for Ian, that he doesn't volontarily hurt him. And, when he thinks that it's too much, as he does in the Biron arc in S10, Mickey lets him know. I'm sorry if that post is impopular, but for living with a disability, I can't help to feel sympathy for Ian's struggle, the way he tries fiercely to handle his disorder by himself. Ian wants to be with Mickey, he needs Mickey, but he has to face things making that impossible sometimes. Their happy end is the best thing, for all those reasons. Mickey is Ian great love and also his main support.
for a while now, ian’s had scars on the palms of his hands. one hand has a pale slice from his time in the army, and the other has wrinkled and calloused skin from the cooker at Patsy’s Pies.
he still has no problem shaking people’s hands. he doesn’t seem to think about it much, at least from what mickey’s seen. when he’s bored or stressed, he’ll spin their wedding ring around and around in circles. He doesn’t realise he’s doing it, mickey knows that much.
mickey likes ian’s hands.
they’re bigger than his, a lot bigger, all freckled and pale. there’s a sweet warmth whenever ian grabs his hands, something attractive and heated about how mickey’s hands are swallowed up by Ian’s.
ian never minds when mickey follows the divots and bumps of the burn scars with his thumb and fingers. mickey’s not sure if he even notices. The skin is roughened and has bursts of raised tissue with bolts of white streaks running through them.
mickey recalls when ian did it. he remembers coming home to ian’s hand bandaged up and no explanation about it. not until years had gone by.
it reminds him, those burns, the scar from the army too, of what could happen if ian went off his meds again. it scares mickey, that thought, sometimes. but more often than not, he puts the fears aside and tries instead to consider how much mickey wants to keep ian from getting hurt again.
it’s dark in their bedroom, moonlight tipping in from the window. ian’s arm is slung over mickey’s shoulders and mickey stops gripping his wrist in favour of pressing his thumb into the coarse skin in the pads of his palms and fronts of his fingers.
ian hums, and mickey can feel his chest rumble with it.
‘you like my scars.’ ian points out, inebriated by sleep.
mickey grunts back in something between confirmation and disagreement. he doesn’t like them, because that sounds as if mickey enjoys that ian was hurt which he doesn’t. but he also does like them, because they’re a part of ian and mickey enjoys the closeness they have that mickey can run his fingers over them without any discomfort.
‘you like when i do this?’ mickey asks, running his finger tips along the scars.
ian leans into his hair, breathing him in and nudging his forehead against the back of mickey’s head.
‘mhm.’ he hums in assent. ‘relaxing.’ he explains.
mickey’s mouth breaks into a smile.
Jeff Ward confirming that if he was ever asked to return as Deke Shaw his main condition is that Iain also has to return with him

Read So Sleeping Fucking Beauty, Right? for the fourth time and I still cried my eyes out hurt/comfort hit so good
Heyy I don't know if you take prompts still but could you write something about Mickey loving on Ian a whole bunch <3 Thanks
This wasn’t the plan. Not in the slightest.
When Tami asked Mickey to go out and get drinks with her, he wasn’t expecting to get this shit-faced.
Nevertheless, here he is, swaying back and forth in a bar he doesn’t recognize, knocking back beer after beer, only thinking about one particular red-head.
The fact that Ian is so loved!! Like FULLY loved. Every part of him is adored. People are FOND of him. Of his interests. And like. The way Mickey will always make him feel special like he'll never be sidelined or ignored again. And LIKE. His family loves him they'd do everything to make him smile. JUST. Ian is so loved y'all 🥺
thinking about ian sitting on the couch snuggled up with a blanket around his shoulders. thinking about mickey coming over to him and climbing onto his lap, ian opening his arms and then wrapping the blanket around both of them once mickey settles.
related: ian wearing a zip-up hoodie, mickey climbing into his lap and unzipping it so he can tuck his arms under it and wrap them around ian, and ian wraps the open part of the hoodie around mickey so it's like they're both wearing it.

Help how else does Mickey make Ian smile like this?!
Okay okay so I've always believed that's Ian's “OH. My husband loves me” face
This is Ian after the surprise anniversary party. And his birthday party. Like. Seeing everything Mickey did for him. Mickey taking care to include all the things he knows Ian likes. Hearing Lip and others talk about how Mickey had been planning for it for MONTHS, had threatened all of them against even hinting about the surprise to Ian. Thinking about all the effort Mickey put in just so he could make Ian feel happy and special. It makes Ian feel so fucking FOND. My husband!!! My husband loves me!!! Come here let me smooch your beautiful face😊☺️
Ian after he hears Mickey bragging about him to the old ladies at the farmer's market 🥺 He can FEEL how proud Mickey is of him and he can hear the immense fondness in Mickey's voice and he feels so adored 🥺 He puts an arm around Mickey's waist and pulls him in for lil smiley pecks 🥺
When Mickey randomly plays their song and gently pulls Ian towards him for a slow dance. He feels Mickey snake a hand down his t shirt to caress the skin there and he puts his arms around Mickey's shoulder and just looks and looks at him with so much love 🥺
In the morning when he moves away from a sleeping Mickey and Mickey instinctively reaches out for him and pulls him close again and snuggles upto his chest. He buries his nose in Mickey's hair and feels so warm and cozy ❤️
When he sees the sketches Mickey has made of him; the easy smiles, the sunshine and the freckles. It's like watching himself from Mickey's eyes. It's feeling how much Mickey loves him and how beautiful he thinks Ian is. He cherishes every single one of them and they never fail to make him smile 🥺
When Mickey shows love to his tummy. This is how he looks down at Mickey when mickey's sucking a mark on his tummy or blowing raspberries on his tummy or kissing the freckles there. HIS HUSBAND LOVES EVERY PART OF HIM
