"What you and I have makes me free" goes so fucking hard because it encompasses a character's Whole Fucking Deal. you know?? because that's at the core of Mickey's whole story. it's the root of so many of his motivations and his wants and his insecurities over the course of eleven seasons and it's all in one line! Why is Mickey doing a thing? Because ian makes him free and nothing else has in his whole entire life. It's such a perfect line for him.

that guy that i turned down got upset and said something mean to me over text about something that i've been scared of anyone saying to me. but i felt fine about it and actually found it kind of funny that he would be pathetic enough to say it. and then i felt sort of powerful that it didn't bother me. because a big reason why i isolate myself so much is because i'm scared of people being mean to me but then it happened and i was like "lol ok". and i feel like it's rewiring my brain a little because i'm like "oh right! i don't need to hide because i can handle it and be okay!" idk.

i was thinking about the dock sluts scene in honor of pride, and you just know mickey teases ian for how quickly he folded. and ian tries to half heartedly stick up for himself but he just always gets sheepish and just admits how gone he is on mickey, so how can anyone blame him

i love that Mickey describes himself as sensitive. because he's right! he is sensitive! he feels his emotions very hard and often loudly. i think we often associate sensitivity with softness but he's right, it's not that kind of sensitivity. ian's soft! not mickey! it's just surprisingly self-aware in a way that i find very endearing.
