also even if she does believe nick is innocent, twitter is not the place for expressing that. social media is not a court of law and you are not his character witness. in fact, even if nick is innocent (which he likely isn’t), publicly expressing your victim shamey thoughts STILL does way more harm than good because it perpetuates the already existent social hostility towards victims who come forward. she has a platform and she’s abusing it and can deter a fan who is a victim from coming forward. in a situation like this, not verbally defending accused abusers IS the answer. it’s careless and stupid and no loyalty based on a reality dance show partnership can excuse that. she has to realize that she might need to reconcile who she thought nick was with who he might actually be, and she needs to do that on her own time off social media.
