Semi-Hiatus & Future Blog Migration

// Short Version:

I am currently only capable of short, sloppy posts thus will abstain from posting until my mental state improves.

I will still be checking tumblr pretty much daily.

I will be responding to messages even if I’m not always very chatty due to being easily exhausted by too much direct social interaction. 

I do still want to be friendly, however. It just takes me a bit more time than most.

When I return it will be on a different blog.

All active characters will be carried over to the new blog. 

All active RPs on this blog will be carried over to and continued on the new blog.

I will be posting information about the new blog once it is set up to a point where I feel it is ready for proper use.

I do look forward to continuing our RPs and am trying not to kick myself about being unable to respond currently.

//So, despite a few attempts and time spent waiting thus far it seems my mood and mind are still refusing to recover enough for me to properly RP. I can do short, not so grand ones but I much rather keep such “lazy and out of sorts” RPs off of my blog as those tend to be quite low effort and just generally look bad. Sadly, I find myself lacking the energy needed to put what I consider to be an acceptable level of effort into my RPs at this point in time. I also don’t wish to start doing sloppy, low effort posts here while I still have some – I do dare say deeply interesting – posts waiting for me that I really do wish to continue as soon as I am able to put proper effort into responding once more. I will recover. I always do. As I know someone is bound to ask, no, it doesn’t have anything to do with current global events. My life caught fire – yet again – a bit before the current contagion became a pertinent factor in my area. Granted, I’ve no doubts that the current situation has not been helping matters any, but it is not the source. So, I will be back. However, when I come back I will say now that it will not be on this blog. This blog was thrown together without proper planning and it just doesn’t feel quite right to me. So I will be migrating to another multi-muse blog when I return. My reasons for doing so are a bit odd but they make sense to me due to how I function. I’m migrating blogs for a couple of reasons. One of which is due to me originally naming this blog for Victoria. Thus the use of the term “vixen” in reference to Victoria’s past. However, Vergil is proving to be just as active of a muse for me. Since Vergil is going to be seeing more development and activity in the future I wish for the blog to carry a name that also suits him since he will be the other main alongside Victoria. So I am currently working on naming and designing a more suiting blog.  The second reason, and the reason why I am migrating instead of just revamping and renaming, is that I started this blog with a shaky, poorly planned out basis and feel like I never stopped playing catch-up with it. Nothing feels laid out right to me. It doesn’t feel like the exact info someone may be looking for is easy and fast enough to find when they want to find it. I am the type who favors efficiency and not having things set up properly has become a point of stress and anxiety for me. I need a clean slate to work from in order to set up my blog in a way that I am satisfied with without having to deal with the clutter from the current setup. Once everything is completely set up, I will be good. I also wish to be able to keep this blog up as it is in case anyone comes across the current information and is interested in RPing with me after the blog migration. I just have to step back and take the proper time to set things up in a way that I will be satisfied with. Once I have I will be better able to enjoy my RPs without worrying about if everyone can find all of the information they need on my blog. Especially considering that I do tend towards what some may consider an “information overload” when it comes to my muses. I want all of that information easy to access because there is, frankly, no way in hell I am going to expect anyone to remember all of the details I add into my muses.  Designing my new blog is also likely to have some therapeutic benefits for me as well, since I do quite enjoy web design, so I do suppose you can call that a bonus reason as well. Anyways, I hope everyone is well and safe! I do look forward to picking up our RPs again. I just hope it doesn’t take too much longer for me to be able to write confidently enough to respond to those waiting for me. I will be posting the info for the new blog once it’s up and ready. Feel free to say hello via DMs in the mean time. I’m not always the most chatty since I am easily exhausted by social interactions much of the time but I do still like making friends and I do still check my tumblr almost daily even though I’m not actively posting.  Who knows, maybe I can get to know some of you better in the mean time since I’m not spending a whole lot of time posting replies at the moment. I wouldn’t much mind that as there are some of you I really wouldn’t be opposed to knowing better. It just may take me a little more time than most due to anxiety.

Usually Arcade had to go out looking for trouble these days. It had definitely been some time before trouble decided it wanted to come moseyin’ along to his… well, quite literal doorstep in this case.

The good researcher had been scouring over notes, jotting down new data he noticed and discarding others, when he had sensed.. something. It had been a startling jostle from his work, enough so that he was already to his feet even prior to the knock on his door.

He could run, he knew. However this was also his home - the town was small, deliberately chosen due to how peaceful and quiet it was. And besides - even if it was a hunter they usually didn’t knock when they come sniffing around with immediately hostile intention. It still reeked of something wrong, but logic won out over panic - he’d snag the collar of his dog before she could get up, shuffling her away to be closed up in one of the rooms securely, before he headed to the door.

After a moment, another, it would crack open and he’d consider the unfamiliar silver-haired figure outside, a blond brow raised slightly. A half-breed. Go figure. “Hello there. Is there something I can do to help you?” Arcade couldn’t hide the weary wariness that pinched across his expression, but despite everything there would be no aggressive or dangerous overtures towards the other man all the same.

When the door was opened, Vergil looked the man over rather briefly. He matched what little description the devil hunter had been given about the researched he was seeking. The elder son of Sparda wasn't exactly the best at playing the friendly role. His stern demeanor continued to win out despite his attempt to, as his brother would put it, pull the stick out his ass. He still did not come off as hostile, a bit awkward and out of touch maybe, but not hostile. The devil arm katana firmly held in his left hand suggested that he was still ready for a fight if one were to occur, however.

❝ I am hoping so. I am looking for a man by the name of Arcade Gannon. ❞ Vergil told the man who answered the door, pretty sure this was him but wishing to confirm. ❝ It's about some demonic research. ❞ he right presented the reason for his visit out and watched the blond man's face for his reaction. More specifically looking for signs of fear, worry, or other forms of discomfort or distress about the topic being brought up.

Well, if this was what Vergil wanted then so be it. A light tug on his tail caught his attention making Simba turn and stare for a brief moment before he froze. Vergil’s finger tips were a mere inch away where he’d gotten stepped on which made his fur bristle slightly.

Biting his tongue to avoid crying out in pain, the lion ran intending on biting his neck, which was the point of the exercise, but soon skidded to a stop.

One thing Sarabi had told him, and that he’d learned from pouncing, was that you never directly charge your prey which meant he had to rethink things. Darting behind Vergil, Simba then began climbing him in order to reach his target. Whether it’d work or not depended entirely on his form and how well he could hold on. “Almost got it!”

Vergil had a look of mild regret on his face when Simba bristled from the tail grab ❝ Sorry, I forgot about the tail. ❞ he remarked as he watched the little lion get behind him. He allowed him to do so this time as, not only was Vergil interested to see what he would try, but Simba was also about to get a slightly easier lesson to start with. Vergil was well aware of his own speed and abilities so he simply allowed the cub to begin climbing him, waiting with a smirk on his lips. ❝ Yes, just about. ❞ he encouraged the little lion, making round one obviously easy.

His intention was to allow Simba to get onto his shoulder or otherwise in position for a bite before reacting. He planned to snag the little lion right off of himself and lightly toss him into a nearby grass patch at the last moment with the aid of those impressive reflexes of his. He just had to wait until the cub thought he had won. Or so was the intention, Simba was a free-spirited one and the little cub did have the potential to surprise him, after all. A fact he kept in mind but worried little of for if Simba did manage the bite because of a miscalculation on Vergil's part or a clever tactic on Simba's part, then the cub would end up learning a different lesson. One about just how durable and fast healing Vergil really was.

Dante tells Vergil about the kids, their ages and names, about Kyrie and how good she is at cooking and how Nero is wrapped around her little finger.  “Their place is full of kids. It’s a lot of fun. Plus Kyrie cooks enough to run a soup kitchen.” He chuckles, “Which a lot of that is to feed Nero at times. Well, I know how much I eat after having to heal.” 

“If you go visit make sure it is during dinner time. That is when everyone is together.” 

Vergil listens as they finish up their meal and moves to get the dishes put away right as Dante finishes updating him. He gives a small chuckle when his twin mentions how much Kyrie cooks and food intake when healing. ❝ Yes, I know obtaining enough food to heal was one of the things I struggled with after you unknowingly freed me from Mundus. You don't realize just how much you need to eat until you can't find enough food. ❞ the elder son of Sparda remarked.

Vergil then began to laugh though the sound remained a more subdued one. ❝ I wonder if, at any moment when they were younger, Kyrie looked at how much that boy ate and realized there was no way a human was eating that much without gaining weight. She simply had to have known all along. ❞ he pondered aloud. It was then the laugh ended in a sigh ❝ I just hope he never loses her. I swear I will hunt anything that tries to take her from him to the ends of this and any other realm. ❞ the tone the black clad cambion’s voice took at that last statement would be one Dante knew well, the tone Vergil took when he was dead serious.

Once V was secured, Shadow stepped behind the other hunter before melting into the asphalt underfoot as if liquefied. She did not rejoin her master on his body but favored to watch over him from the darkness, her form little else but an unassuming shadow that tailed the party closely. There wasn’t an inclination in her to be sighted by any other pair of eyes tonight, and it was much to precaution that she hid herself away to begin with. Griffon hadn’t the same fortune, but at least one of them needed to talk to the woman; on V’s behalf, he would have to do the persuading, the negotiating, the instructing. With the warlock’s cane securely cradled in clasped feet, Griffon followed alongside her, Victoria, really hovering more than flying—and circling her as he went. Incapable of traveling any slower unless he were to walk.

“I think he can eat anything,” the raptor answered while examining his own store of information. Something of a novel thing to think about V so analytically, he’d rarely focus so much attention on the man without prompt. Many may have called him negligent, especially for being a familiar, but he was confident he’d known V better than anyone else (save for his colleagues)—and that wasn’t an exaggeration. “There’s really nothing wrong with him,” he continued, “just the, the whatever’s got him down right now.” A small bluff: Griffon knew precisely what to name it, he’d just elected not to. Little, unrelated issues of V’s would not be disclosed and Griffon was confident his master would want to keep things that way. 

“I don’t know what else you mean by ‘help’, lady,” he countered, this time sincerely probing for detail. His tone had changed and again he took up a protective, defensive stance. His eyes may have pointed toward the path, but he’d kept her well within his peripheral vision. “You’re right: he’s not gonna be down with you doing more than you have to, so you’re best off resuscitating him and then leaving him to the rest. I wouldn’t worry my pretty little head over it any more if I were you. He can handle himself, and he’s got us. Not like this sorta thing happens every other week.” Griffon sought to dismiss her concerns outright. No need to get her any more involved than she had gotten herself. In truth, it wasn’t her business. If Griffon would not be the one to make it clear to her, V surely would. “You just focus on taking him somewhere safe. That’s a damned good start.” 

It really hadn’t mattered to the demon whether or not some poor human would spot him. Surely it wasn’t ideal, but the circumstances left him little alternative. He flew with the stranger regardless, studying their surroundings with every few feet of progress made toward their ultimate destination. He supposed they were on the right track. The first indication of something fishy and he would promptly address it without pause. Shadow followed along all the while, points of ruby red occasionally flashing in the formless puddle. She, as Griffon, was fully aware. 

❝ So, it's emotionally based? In all fairness, the mind is a rather powerful thing. Many fail to give it proper credit for its ability to affect the body. Well, I have never truly been the best with emotions, but maybe I can help the two of you keep his face off of the asphalt long enough to find something that can help him in the regard. ❞  The redhead responded to the bird as they walked. She couldn't help but spare glances at the infernal feline following in pancake-cat form, though she did so by using reflective surfaces she passed on the way, thus sparing herself from having to frequently turn while keeping an eye on Shadow. She was not comfortable with another following her, but she also realized she had to show some trust towards them if she was going to earn any of theirs in return.

She listened to Griffon reiterate how they had him, and she should leave him to them, and she had only the slightest bemused smirk show on her lips as he spoke, waiting for him to finish before speaking ❝ You know, you sound like you're trying to convince yourself that you have it handled just as much as you're trying to convince me of it. At least, that much reiteration tends to suggest such as the case. Granted, I could be off mark. ❞ She plainly stated as they turned a corner into a garage, though the reason for the turn was immediately obvious. She had stashed her current vehicle, an old beater of a car purchased only because she had been needing to cart the injured away from this general area on a few occasions already, just inside so it wouldn't become a demon's chew toy while she hunted her mark.

❝ As for how I intend to help, I intend to make sure he eats, at least enough to no longer be at risk of collapse. The rest can be figured out when I have a better chance to observe his traits an– ❞  there she went talking about people like things to be studied again, even though she didn't actually think of them that way. ❝ A chance to see what kind of personality I'm dealing with from him. ❞  She gave just a moment's pause after that comment, just long enough to shake her head about the fact that her second version of the statement really didn't sound all that much better.

The scar adorned hunter moved to get the back door open and carefully place V within. ❝ Griffon, Shadow, would one of you be so kind as to ride in back with him and be sure that he remains comfortable? The roads are a little rough on the way out. ❞ She asked the two familiars as she looked him over yet again, noting his tattoos. ❝ Lovely. . . ❞ The hunter quietly remarked under her breath, though the comment had not meant to be spoken aloud at all. ❝ It will not be very long. Not more than a few minutes once we're back on undamaged roads. ❞ She informed the diabolical duo as she prepared to head out.

Needless to say, things were a hot mess. An entire city decimated in a month, demonic stragglers still abound. The Bureau providing crisis relief for what little survivors were left and cleaning up the mess made but an utter and total asshat. A total fucking clown. Nero had told her everything. He even made sure she was well plied with whiskey and cigarette through the fuckery– she practically chained smoked a whole pack and half when it was said and done.

V was running a little late. He could have sworn that shade looked like a familiar avian friend of his. The summoner typically wasn't one to meet random strangers without some decent defense. Currently, he had only a cane. He did not like this arrangement and had truly been hoping that Griffon had managed to return to him. Not only did V sorely miss his feathered friend but some backup in case combat found him would certainly not be to his detriment.

Sadly, it was not to be. Whatever phantom had crossed his path on this night had vanished just as swiftly and as silently as it had arrived and left the slightly underweight and currently tattooless man as alone as when he had begun this foolish chase. Now he simply hoped that a mere ten minutes was not enough for any fuss to be caused over. If so then maybe he could use that little 'look' of his had that tended to make a fair number of people melt to his advantage. A man in his position, with so few means of defense accessible to him, had to use every tool he had at his disposal after all.

He made his way across the park grounds, a heavy reliance on his cane with each step. It seemed his habit of chasing echos had, yet again, left him with that problematic hip of his rebelling. A painful endeavor to be sure but nothing he could not push himself through. At least for a time. ❝ Pardon my tardiness, ❞ his free hand came to move fallen hair from his face as he came to a stop a few feet away from the lady who had been waiting for him ❝ I'm V, it is nice to meet you. I must admit that I was not expecting a call like yours out of the blue. ❞ indeed he was surprised anyone could find him at all. V was currently still struggling to find some kind of home. While he could potentially stay with one of the others involved with the agency he was also far too hesitant to alert them to his survival, not wishing to live as someone else's shadow due to being a literal part of someone else. However, one thing he did know was that some people had their ways of finding others and, at times, it was better to not inquire of said ways.
