Let's break up my marine photos with a beautiful Magnolia blossom at the Parc de la Tete d'Or from when I lived in Lyon, France. I think it was my first time to see these beautiful big flowers blossoming in beautiful pale pinks & whites, giant petals scattered across the ground. Back amongst the seabirds and marine mammals! I'll never be bored of watching gannets diving upto 100kph! They survive the impact due to the airsacs in their face and chest which act like bubble wrap! Also the vertebrae in their necks lock together before impact. Finally they have no external nostrils.
