Not that it happens as often, but of course it would go the same way.

Saying this with all the love in my heart, "Trans" is not a magical title that erases all social biases and discriminations you hold in your mind the moment you transition.

You have to actually ACTIVELY unlearn all that shit. You can actually be trans AND hold TERF and racist beliefs, it is in fact very easy.

Read studies and essays, Engage with the works of other minorities, Don't think you're just better by virtue of losing *some* privilege.

one of the best parts of transitioning was been the freedom to be a little silly and cute. before, if i tried to act that way, i'd get hit with a wave of disgust and self-hatred so strong i'd get a pain attack. today, i was chatting with a coworker and made a pouty face without even thinking about it, and it was so natural. i feel like a human now, i don't have to remember what emotions i am feeling to express them, they just happen.

it's wonderful. it makes me smile, and thinking about it makes me giggle.

in general, when I see robot being referred to as "mech," or "mecha," by a westerner, especially when talking about robot anime, it's a conversation-ender. It's a cue for me that there's no discussion worth having with that person because this person doesn't understand the barebones basics of the genre. A toaster is a mecha. An Apple Watch is a mecha. An oil tanker, with sufficient design notes, is a mecha. The conflation of "piloted robot" as "mecha" happened as BattleTech plundered robot anime designs and decided to adopt the term to mean, "piloted robot." Well, you don't see them calling it Super Mecha War, and the most influential combiner is certainly not Getter Mecha! It's a legacy of decades where the West, especially the USA, shunned and censored and cut off and recombined Japanese works because they saw it as inherently lesser and just a product all the while creating their own works by plundering the parts they liked about Japanese works. Intended or not, what i hear when a westerner does this is, "I'm too scared of or too good for actual robot anime." Yeah, I'm sure that the writing and the world building is good or whatever. I'm sure that the shadows on the wall of the Plato's cave analogy had to be compelling a little to the ones in the analogy too.

King of Horses ran 450 fucking miles at almost entirely a gallop, without more than a few minutes rest, in 4 nights and basically was like "wait why are we stopping?" when Gandalf took him into the city and he ended up in a stable.

This was not his top speed, nor did it push any limits on his endurance.
