"This isn't a wise idea, sweetie...When Jester finds out--"
"If he finds out. Which he won't. Now c'mon! The show is going to start soon and you don't want to miss it right?"
Doctor was silent for a moment, then shook his head.
He was dressed in a way that made him look "human" to others around. Still stood out because of his massive height and large build, but besides that, he looked "normal" as one could be, especially with that face mask he had on and dark tinted glasses he was wearing.
Together you snuck out of the circus at night, when you believed everyone else would be asleep or busy to notice you gone.
Escaping like two forbidden lovers in a fairy tale, but with a hopeful good ending than bad.
Once you both arrived to your destination without being stopped or caught. Doctor stopped you before you proceeded towards the entrance gate.
"Wait." He opened his messenger bag, that looked old, but taken good care of. Then he pulled out some ear plugs as he stepped closer to you. "You should wear these to protect your hearing, sweetie. It's important to stay safe in these kind of events after all."
"Oh! That's a good idea!" You were about to take them to put them on yourself, but he moved in to help put them on for you. You blushed lightly at the act, and smiled at him as you shared your gratitude for his assistance.
"If you get thirsty. Know I brought some water. I did my research and bringing bottled water is allowed, as long as its checked at the gates."
"Clever thinking. What else do you have in that bag of yours?" You said with a curious head tilt.
"First aid kit, a couple small books to read to pass the time if anything comes up, some mix tapes we can listen to together if the music ends up not being to our liking."
"Wow...You really came prepared huh?"
"Yes, it is wise to be prepared always when heading out together. I have more things I can list down but doing so will take time, and we should get moving now unless we want to miss the show."
"Right! Let's go!" You grabbed Doctor's hand, excitedly pulling him forward to the gate as he followed along without a fight.
Once your things were checked at the gate, and you were allowed to pass through. You hoped the show and music would be good, not for you but for Doctor. Since this was his first concert he was attending, and you wanted it to be a memorable one for him. Especially since there's no telling if you two can do this again with how strict Jester is.
But when you looked over at him as the show started to begin and the band started to play their heavy metal song. You swore you saw Doctor's eyes sparkle in excitement, as the flashing lights from the stage show shined on him.
