In the drawing where Gaster is asking who I think is most likely Sans and Papyrus if they want to see an explosion. He knew that was going to explode didn’t he? He just did it anyway to be completely sure or because explosions are fun for the chaotic scientist.

For some reason I can see chaotic Gaster being terrible at house hold things like cooking or cleaning. Like being so chaotically bad that he’s somehow able to catch water on fire. I’m sure he has tried harnessing sun like temperatures to bake cookies.

Oh yeah, he was mixing chemicals he knew would have an interesting reaction and didn't want said kids to miss out on the fun :>

As for Gaster's cooking, I actually headcanon he's pretty decent at it, but was never around enough to actually pass any skills on--but imagining when he did cook i realized there was a pretty good chance of this:

I’m thinking like they’re married with a bunch of adopted kids except Gwen who’s Liam’s natural daughter from an earlier hetero relationship (look at this happy family!!!)

And maybe their car breaks down and this extremely handsome hitchhiker helps them out

And they introduce the handsome hitchhiker to their daughter and her boyfriend with whom he immediately gets into a fight

But he shows her that she’s better than that guy so she dumps that guy.

And then it’s working out really well and she’s actually happy

And her gay dads love seeing her happy

And it’s all working out so well but Liam is sad that his little girl is growing up and having her own life up so son Jacob comforts him and it’s a really sweet father/son moment

And they all live happily ever after
