suddenly realized with horror that i've failed at my one job as the img editor in this fandom, aka making shitty valentine's day cards for cute mutants. why did this just hit me now-
no one may have asked but you're sure as heck receiving
people trying to insist a fandom is tiny when it /only/ has a few thousand works on ao3 meanwhile my current fandom is a sixteen book series and has several hundred fewer works than goncharov, a movie that, and i cannot stress this enough, doesn’t even exist

dylan went on a bit of a trip today! thought they could use a chance to get into dc, and superman was absolutely a movie i think dylan would very much support.

they’re all laying together in bed and the couple are both thinking to themselves like good, he stayed the night to cuddle and talk when we offered, he should know that we genuinely care for him and want this to be more then a handful of one night stands. and the stray cat guy is like wow this sure is nice i think i’m falling in love with them. it’s really too bad that they don’t actually give a fuck and hate me and probably want to kill me with hammers for no reason

but also it is INSANE reading the early days of cute mutants and realizing how much theyre just like. BABIES. like dylan's got all of the great dylan ideas we have later on w/ wanting justice for mutants and the oppressed in general, but they havent gotten the full brunt of [insert the entire series] that really gives their words BITE it's great
neil josten has managed to pull off what few book protagonists have been able to do: become my favorite character
the follow up thought to this is that the ONLY other two characters that i have gone feral over in the same way i do with neil are ronan lynch and dylan taylor
and now i can't help but imagine what would happen if i locked all three of them in a room together. and it was several floors off the ground so neil couldn't launch himself out of a window

TOTALLY missed seeing this one sooner over on instagram but it looks like sj whitby's got another story coming out !!! this one isnt cute mutants related, but already looks like a LOT of fun and something im incredibly excited for in february next year. can't wait to meet max and see all of the alien shenanigans afoot in this anthology !!!
