This is my dad at the most prestigious grad school in Korea. Three decades before, the Korean War happened, and my dad was just 3 months old when our family migrated from North to South. Yes… Our family’s origin is in the North, and my grandma made a very courageous move by moving a wealthy family to become dirt poor to live in a non-corrupt government. This picture is the epitome of what my grandma preached — education was the way out. Four decades later, my dad is retired and found a way to support our family through his education, his business and his principle. I post this because this is the most important person in my life — and I’ve never done right by him. If it isn’t already apparent through everything I do with #AgencyLife, I march to my own beat. But I owe everything to him, to my grandma, to our family. I never took education seriously, but I am serious about building on the family legacy. Thank you to the man that let me finally find a way. I owe you everything. (at KAIST Korean Advance Institute Science and Technology)
Y'all have no idea how clutch the @omnicharge battery is. Taking a 4-mile trip to @therevenantcoffee and then charge my Boosted Board while I get a few hours of work done. I can't imagine a better Saturday rn 🙌😍☕️ (at The Revenant Coffeehouse)
One for relaxing ☺️ and one for the 🛣. Shout out to Starbucks for the #BOGO macchiato offer! ✌️ (at Starbucks)

Wouldn't you take a selfie in the middle of the street when it's 1:42 a.m. and waiting for a video to render? 😅📷👊 #hustle (at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida)
More of this today, and every day, moving forward.... Last night was hard, but awesome! 🎥🎥 (at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida)

I wrote on Facebook recently what I’d tell my college self. But the 14-year-old self, I’d want to tell that fucker to work a minimum-wage job. . Growing up, I had no idea what money was. I knew my dad gave me an allowance, I knew my friends had more expensive cars. But I had no concept of the $20 per week allowance I had for food really meant. . One of the best things I ever did was work at Togo’s and Baskin Robbins, which I didn’t do until my 20s. Minimum-wage jobs taught me about life more than any textbook or college. It taught me empathy, it taught me desperation, it taught me sacrifice. The 14-year-old Tony had zero idea about those. . I respect the people who have ever worked in the food industry. I get along best with people who have that background. In fact, I’m not sure if it’s legal, but if I were to run another department one day, I’d like to ask about any minimum wage jobs someone worked. . So, to the 14-year-old Tony, you don’t need to play golf all day and do homework last minute. I want you to work after school, not spend a single dime of the money you made, put it in savings, and buy your dad a father’s day gift with your own money, not his. Because if you knew then the sacrifice you need to have to be a good son, good leader, good manager and good friend, maybe you’d be the change you want to see in the world a little bit sooner. Sometimes you just need to hear a good friend who calls out of the blue. After leaving NYC, it has been much harder to keep in touch with @byryanlazo. Literally at one point we worked across the street! But, now, couple thousand miles apart. If you can, call a friend today to chat and update about your life. Promise it'll make that person's weekend. 👊 (at New York, New York)
Here's something that most people don't know. I wrote this to @garyvee at one of the hardest times in my life -- and he helped. I encourage y'all to read below and thank the people who help us out in a time of need -- even when they don't need to: . Just wanted to say thanks for making a world a better place. You are scaling the unscalable every day, and I'm so blessed to learn from you through social. . Today I'm going to re read The Thank You Economy. Because I need to reread the chapter you said "I care more about my employees than I do about my customers, and I care more about my customers than I do about breathing." . Thank you practicing what you preach. Thank you for being you. (at VaynerMedia)

It’s not Gary, because that’s obvious. I want to talk about @davidrock — the dude behind the scenes for Gary. . I don’t know D-Rock at all. Never met the dude. But I know his story — and it’s an inspiring one for everyone who wants to do what they dream of doing. . D-Rock emailed Gary one day to create a documentary. Gary agreed. He did awesome work, and Gary hired D-Rock to do all of his filming. Since then, D-Rock and Gary proved value of documenting versus creating. In 5 years, y’all will see how much this business model and storytelling will influence mass media and not just social media. . But the lesson I want to share here is he took a risk, put himself in position to do what he wants to do every day, and works harder than everyone. And if you know anything about video editing, it’s not simple. It’s super time consuming. It’s science and art. So in a way, he works harder than him — but he’s doing exactly what he wants. . I want to thank D-Rock, because if he never emailed Gary, he wouldn’t influence people like me to do what I love. Seriously. I interviewed for Zimmerman with the words, “I want to be D-Rock and more.” Even when I’m part of hiring interviews at the Z, I tell D-Rock’s story to see if someone has that type of hustle, patience and sacrifice. . Thank you for changing communication. History will give credit to Gary on #AskGaryVee and #DailyVee, but without you none of us will have the jobs you’ve inadvertently created in this industry and/or inspire people to do what you did. 🙏 (at VaynerMedia)
