Crocheting x watching movies is the best thing u'll ever experience.

Does this colors make a good combo?
YEEESSSS
NAH UH
I'm done with the first square! 😭😭😭 34 more to go!
I'll take a 2 day break, just, so my wrist doesn't hate me jshejdhsandb
I'm following this pattern here! I found it on Pinterest and fell in love with it!
⋆˚࿔ Crochet Bag 𝜗𝜚˚⋆
I got free time, so I opened my old drawer with old yarn and reused one of those.
My shortage of shoulder bags got me working on a few. I'm very happy with the results, and it's helping me to get my mind cleared!
There's no pattern, I made it with simples squares and rectangles, then, sew them.
𐙚 ⋮ Shell Bag ꒱ ‧₊˚
Being sick and watching my favs series made me be productive while I was in bed.
I saw a pretty shell bag on pinterest a long time ago, and did not find the pattern, so, I tried to create the bag in my own way. And it turned out pretty wel!
I'm so happy with the results and it will be my fav bag! Absolutely gonna use it every day.
One Whole Year of dinosaur blanket! + her majesty under blankie and my latest patches
We're not even a quarter of a way there to my planned finished size (queen blanket) 😂😅 but slowly and steadily we're getting there.
(edit: most of the patches are from handhuntkint on Etsy! I drafted the rest though)
why does fixing a dropped stitch make me feel like im defusing a fucking bomb
insane how many people just have these incredible artists in their families who get no recognition outside of crocheting circles because this art form is devalued for its association with women
in my country, the word for crocheting, is used metaphorically, to compliment a surgeon’s work.
every AFAB person my mother’s age and older, had practiced this craft at one point on another.
My mom has made literal paintings, that decorate our house for years (I’ll come back with pictures when I visit next) you can only see that they are crocheting when you go very close.
as promised here’s my mom’s crocheting “paintings”
There is another one but it had been stored many years ago, (i remember it from my childhood) and sadly it is probably damaged by mold, it depicted wild horsed running in nature

I'm really surprised how many young fiber art people don't know that they can get pattern books from their local library. So as a PSA:
Your local public library has pattern books! They have crochet, knitting, weaving, and quilting pattern books! If they don't have the book you want, or the craft you want, you can ask for us to get it for you! It's free!
Crochet Koroks
something very few talk about when it comes to learning a new skill is how it unlocks a new level of appreciation for the seemingly mundane
as I learn more about knitting or crocheting for example, I've found myself examining Every knitted garment I see people wear in the street. is it machine made? does it have cables? what kind? how thick is the wool? how thight is it? how is it constructed?
im specially fond of any crochet items as they're always confirmed to be handmade to some degree! I saw a woman with a crocheted bottle holder the other day in the bus, and a woman with a loosely knit shawl that must have required some big ass needles!
i really do think every skill you learn widens your perception of the world around you in lovely ways .. it's something I always find so thrilling!
IT'S FINALLY FINISHED
I made this cardigan made out of flower granny squares and some random buttons I found.
I think the arms are a little too long, but once wearing it looks cute! ^^
It's my first time doing a cardigan and I had NO IDEA how to start putting the pieces together, so I just single crocheted across the granny squares and I think that was an error. I left too many ends and now I have to hide them, and it also took me more time to finish. It was fun though.
This is the first of many clothing projects and the important thing is that I learned from it (^_^)/
I'm already working on ANOTHER ONE, this is so vicious, help.
If you know a better way to put the pieces together lmk, I'll be grateful <3
Hard to believe that once upon a time the specter of a charted pattern intimidated the hell out of me and then I got up the guts to just try it (which is how I go about learning most things) and it was ten million times better than written patterns and I don’t know if I can ever go back.
I MADE A NEW SON LOOK AT HIM!!!
his name is Ballister, hes a silly looking sugar glider!!
Working on a hand made Cardigan it's fun and stressful at the same time. I mean, I have to make the SAME granny square like 120 times!!!
But I still enjoy doing it <(^~^)/
I'll post it soon, I guess...
𓍊𓋼𓍊 𐐒(୨୧^ᴗ^).⋆·₊˚ I'm crocheting another blanket!! ˚₊·⋆. (^ᴗ^୨୧)𐐚 𓍊𓋼𓍊
This one is more of a variety of colours than my other two, though still mostly in the medium to dark range of colours (and warmer tones) ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ <3 <3 <3
I'm also trying to use more interesting stitches and squares, like the ones I learned while doing my greyscale blanket <|:-)
