So I wrote a thing based on this picture. It kind of sounded better in my head, but here you go.
The battle was over, the dust was just beginning to settle and everyone was still on edge. The Hulk huffed and looked around for any survivors, anything he could fight, when he heard rustling and rubble moving from behind him. He quickly turned around with a growl, ready to attack and was met with a small girl holding up a small green toy. He started to move closer to her. Steve watched the Hulk move towards the girl and started to run over. He could have easily thrown his shield, but he wanted to get the girl out of the way, not make the Hulk angrier.
“Stark, get her!” He yelled when he realize he wouldn’t get there in time.
“On it, Cap.” Tony responded as he sped towards the Hulk.
He wasn’t fast enough. The Hulk reached towards the girl and she screamed….
And let out a fit of giggles as the Hulk picked her up by the back of her shirt like a momma cat picks up her kitten by the scruff. He placed her in his hands and brought her close to his face.
“That Hulk?” He asked confused.
“Yeah!” The girl giggled. “It’s my Hulk toy! You’re my favorite!”
“Hulk’s you’re favorite?” Hulk questioned.
“Of course! You saved my family from the aliens and you just saved us again! You’re the best.” She said and hugged him.
The Hulk smiled and turned to Tony who was hovering next to them in awe at the conversation he was watching go down. “Look Tin-man! That Hulk!” He said excited.
“Yeah, Big Guy, I can see that. That’s pretty cool.” Tony said still amazed.
With the battle over, people started to slowly come out of their hiding places. All the kids, seeing the other girl, ran to the Hulk. Their parents hesitantly let them go as they inspected the damage to the buildings. The Hulk sat down and let the kids crawl all over him as they showed him their Avenger toys as well, including more Hulk dolls. From the top of a near by building, Clint got the entire thing on video.
After the debriefing and the after battle feast that they always had, the Avengers sat in the common room of Stark Tower to a movie like they always did after a fight. Before they could even pick a movie, Tony got up and started setting up the tv with his phone.
“Wait, Bruce you gotta see this first.” He said as the video started playing.
Bruce watched nervously as the Hulk moved towards the girl. He tried to get up and leave as the Hulk reached for the girl, but Tony stopped him. Bruce looked away when the girl screamed, but his eyes snapped back to screen when he heard the giggling. Bruce sat down slowly in shock and rubbed his eyes to make sure he wasn’t seeing things.
“See, Brucie, looks like you do have some fans.” Tony said patting him on the back.
“Yeah, I guess so.” Bruce said with a small smile, still in shock.
They put on the movie after the video was over. Bruce fell asleep half way through, like he always did, but this time he had a smile on his face as he slept.
