The EASIEST Shifting Method I’ve Ever Tried (The Tai Method)
Okay so basically—this method is called the Tai Method (I found it on Tumblr from @shiftingtai ), and it’s so good I had to share it.
So let me set the stage. I’ve been in this headspace recently where I feel like I need to put less pressure on shifting and just… do it. Like, shifting is something you do, not something you reach. You don’t need a huge routine or crazy method—just pure intention. Recently crashed out about this on a recent post.
I saw this post once (a TikTok slideshow, actually) about this girl’s dad who’s like a literal shifting master. And all he does is shift to waiting rooms—forests, beaches, empty fields—so he can think clearly when making big decisions. No method. Just closes his eyes, sets his intention, and goes. And I was like… excuse me?! Meanwhile I’ve been doing 2-hour routines for years???
So I was like, okay. Let me stop doing the most and try something simple. Just trust that intention is enough. And then—I stumbled upon the Tai Method. Here’s how it works:
Tai Method (asleep method, but can be done awake)
1. Focus on the darkness behind your eyes for ~30 seconds.
2. Focus on what you hear (CR or DR) for ~30 seconds.
3. Focus on what you feel (tingles, sinking, etc.) for ~30 seconds.
4. Repeat this cycle 4 times.
5. Fall asleep.
Just keep your attention on your senses, and try to observe rather than force.
So I decided to use it—no scripting, nothing fancy. Just a dream, a little Pinterest board with 33 pins (lol), and an idea for a waiting room I hadn’t even scripted yet.
My waiting room is basically a soft pink princess room with a big window overlooking a beach, where it’s always pink sunset hour and the waves are crashing in the distance. I’ve never tried shifting to a waiting room before, but I wanted a place to prep, observe my DR self, check over my script, and do whatever the fuck I want before shifting fully.
So it’s 1 AM, I’m tired, just got out of a shower, and I decide to try.
At first, it was kind of weird focusing on the darkness behind my eyes—it felt unnatural, like my eyes were in a weird position. So I opened and closed them a few times until it felt okay. Then I focused on what I was hearing, and then on my body. I was just observing—not affirming. Just noting: “I hear this,” “I feel that,” “I see this,” etc. And it flowed. Each sense sort of called me to move to the next.
At one point, I told myself, “I can hear the waves.” At first I couldn’t. But then… I could. I could genuinely hear the ocean. Like—on one side only. My left ear had a little pressure, and I could fully hear the waves just on that side. I even questioned myself like, “Okay but is this just my fan?” (Because it’s summer, and I sleep with a fan.)
But I know what my fan sounds like. I listen to it all the time. And this wasn’t that. This was different. And it reminded me of a time during the train method when I heard a train/car rush sound that I swore was from my CR—but later I checked, it didn’t match. It was from my DR.
So this time, I did the whole Tai Method cycle four times. I kept hearing the waves, even when I wasn’t focusing on sound. I saw the light behind my eyes change. I felt body twitches. I stayed present, calm, and intentional—and then I just fell asleep.
And Then? I Dreamt of My Waiting Room.
Not my Hogwarts DR. Not my Soccer DR. Not my Twilight DR. My waiting room.
And it wasn’t even the one I scripted—it was like a garden version. At night. Kind of abandoned and overgrown, with a TV in the middle of it (??) and I was literally watching Squid Game. Then I started planning for my Arcane DR inside the dream. Like… genuinely working on my DR plans in my dream.
Y’all. This method is SO EASY. I’ve been trying to shift for days, and all I’ve had are weird CR nightmares. This was the first time I actually dreamt about my DR. That means something.
Please try this method. If you’re burnt out, overwhelmed, or tired of complicated routines—this is it.

here’s a very effective method me (as shifter of 4 Years) has invented myself.
you think you can’t shift? Well you can with this
• Pick a food that reminds you of your dr
lay down on a mattress / somewhere comfortable and close your eyes , focus only on your tastes
put the food inside your mouth
repeat “I am shifting” as you slowly eat it
think of the food like a anchor for you and your dr
fill it with positive energy and thoughts as you eat it
then, as you swallow it imagine all that positive energy flowing into your stomach and being the “final push” to helping you shift
try to shift/focus on the thought of your dr.

I manifested my dream life after 1+ year of nonstop trying
First of all, i would like to give some background information. I've been in the subliminal community since 2017-2018, i was LITERALLY in primary school 😭
Manifestation is not a new concept to me, i tried the law of assumption in 2021 but didn't get my desire so i gave up. in december 2024 i got back into it and decided for myself what i wanted my dream life to be.
Here's everything i manifested:

desired family
desired grades + having skipped a year
seeing my long distance boyfriend in august
and many MANY other things i can't think of rn LOL
HERE'S WHAT CLICKED
I used to think that i was doing everything right, i persisted, i affirmed, i lived in the end and i NEVER wavered, or so i thought. I thought wavering was strictly contradicting your desires for example "i don't have _", i thought it was anything that implied that you don't have it.
However my version of wavering is what i would refer to as "creating a Plan B" which this post made me realise i was doing. I constantly discussed what i would do IF i didn't get it. For example: let's say i want to manifest a class being cancelled, i would decide the class is cancelled and maybe affirm a little but then i would suddenly proceed to take my notes for the class 'just in case it didn't get cancelled'. I didn't think it was wavering because i was talking hypothetically but that ALSO contradicts the mindset of me having it all.
Eventually i also came across this subliminal. I HIGHLY recommend you look at the benefits, you don't even have to listen. The subliminal talks about the law of obsession and honestly i could try as hard as i can to explain it but i recommend you just look at the document because it's perfectly worded and i would NOT do it justice i fear.
HOW DID I PROCEED ?
With this newfound clarity i decided to continue my journey differently. I would never EVER contradict my desires. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER !!!!
Now this is the part where this post saved my ass. I know for a FACT that if ur reading this ur wondering "well how the hell am i supposed to just stop my negative thoughts overnight" and let me tell you something, you don't. STOP TRYING TO PUSH UR NEGATIVE THOUGHTS AWAY !! IT ONLY MAKES IT WORSE !! And now ur DEFINITELY wondering "well wtf do i do then ??" and this is where i tell you to Just. Let. Them. Pass.
Do not entertain negative thoughts. Don't agree with them and don't disagree with them, they're quite literally ragebaiters 🥀
Ragebait is made for interaction, otherwise it serves no purpose. You should only observe those thoughts and move on, instantly distract yourself.
HOWEVER let's say you absolutely CANNOT get rid of those thoughts then i firmly recommend this post to help you deal with them so you can move on. SUMMARY
NEVER contradict ur desires, do not even dare to think about "well what if i don't get it ??" and stop trying to play it safe.
Don't try to fight wavering or negative thoughts just ignore them and move on, if you really can't check out the post i linked.

I thought I was manifesting like a pro, but turns out I was still playing scared — making backup plans like setting a reboot van just in case. That’s wavering. Real manifesting is committing like you already won the match — no Plan B, just full send.
Negative thoughts? Don’t fight them. That’s like building against a bot for no reason. Just let them glide by — they’re ragebait trying to get a reaction. Observe, ignore, move on. everybody always thinks that saying the words “I will shift” will do something. It wont. You need to MEAN IT.
intention matters because we actually set our mind on what we want. It’s a promise to yourself, not empty words!
and yeah, It can be hard to go through with. But you started this. You can’t quit now.
Just like how someone dedicated to setting a world record can will themselves to it, YOU CAN WILL YOURSELF TO SHIFT, BELIEVE ME!

I understand that It’s scary, but you’ll just shift once you die. Our Subconscious lives on in every Universe. Just like how you go back to your cr when you die in your dr, you will SHIFT when you die!
So don’t even worry about being stressed about shifting, you have all the time in the multiverse. And if you don’t shift throughout your entire life, you will once you die! Then you’ll get to see your comfort characters. And you’ll live on in as many Universes as you want—forever. :)

the method I use as a shifter of 4 Years
this is my own method that I’ve figured out over time and has worked for me the best. I shift multiple times a week with this, I hope it can help you too.
I call It “The Tai Method” (Named after me)
The Method
As you’re going to sleep and feel yourself get tired, focus on the lights behind your eyelids and on what you can see with your eyes closed, (if you can see nothing that’s fine, the trick is to just pay extra attention)
do this for like half a minute before focusing on everything you can hear, cr sounds? Dr sounds? And try to really listen and hear if you can hear your dr.
After half a minute of that too focus on your body, do you feel tingles? Your own breathing? Sinking? Try to feel your surroundings change, or if It feels like you’ve moved.
do this 4 times and it should start to feel like your surroundings have changed. Even if it doesn’t, fall asleep and you’ll likely shift.
(best recommended as a sleep method, but works as an awake too! You can say affirmations if you want but It’s not required)
yes. It’s really that easy, just pay attention to your cr and dr while you’re relaxing, and you will shift!

Dear shifters who have had no success for years
this community can be so toxic to you.
I see you, I hear you, but here’s the hard truth.
you will shift. Eventually, the Universe chose you. You can’t back out now.
but It’s okay to take a break. For a day. A week. A month. However long you need to recharge. Your DR will be waiting for you, It’s not going anywhere.
you’re doing amazing, and taking a break won’t hinder your shifting progress.
