Adrien abuses Marinette. Adrian sexually harasses and his sexually assaulted Marinette. It is an abusive relationship. I don't care if you're hyper fixated on it, shipping is a choice. It is a conscious decision. You make the conscious decision to support this abusive relationship and you make the conscious decision to romanticize this abusive relationship. Being neurodivergent does not give you free rein to uncritically support bigoted things. It does not give you a free pass on critical thinking skills. It doesn't mean that you get to do whatever you want and it's fine because you can blame your hyperfixations.

Being neurodivergent doesn't make it okay for you to romanticize abusive relationships, and it doesn't make it okay for you to stan people who platform Nazis and call people the R slur.

Being neurodivergent doesn't mean you aren't responsible for your actions. Sometimes I wonder if the demonisation of cluster B disorders comes from the fact that neurotypicals can’t accept the fact that some people are just bad. They always assume that there’s a reason for it, and so immediately latch onto pop psychology because there’s no way that people can just be bad for no reason. There must be a Bad Person Disorder. It’s silly and childish, but they cling the notion of there being a Bad Person Disorder because they think that identifying a Bad Person Disorder means that they can avoid bad people. In labelling certain personality disorders Bad Person Disorder, however, neurotypicals become bad, ableist people themselves, but if you call them out on it, they fall the fuck apart because how dare you not hate and fear the people they’ve labelled as having Bad Person Disorder.
