Rest in peace, Yuji Ohno.
One day the sadness will end. Only the melody plays on.

Aaaaaah... porn bots. I almost missed you.
Our Lupin III fanzine in real life!
It was an interesting project to me. I liked how it turned out.
76 pages of illustrations, 59 artists ACTION, ROMANCE, ADVENTURE, FRIENDSHIP, FEMME FATALE and much more
Like it or not, Nancy Huston pointed out something I also observed in many a youth: the self-contradiction of refusing traditional socio-sexual norms yet the unquestioned embrace of the aesthetics of models, publicity, movie stars etc, in a whorshipping of appearances that can only clash with their so-called left wing beliefs.
You can't overthrow capitalism while trying your damndest to look fabulous, especially as the cosmetic and fashion industries are among the biggest polluters and exploiters of workers' rights, and also animals for those you might care.
Our world is so obssessed with appearances, any political statement sounds hollow.
astronomy: so basically the consensus is generally that pluto isn't a planet but rather a dwarf planet, which is a classification that fits better with its unique characteristics and reflects our current understanding of how stuff works
what people hear for some reason: pluto has been suddenly kicked out of the planets club by the other planets, who were its best friends up until they randomly decided they didn't love it anymore and they kicked it out of the house and put it in a wet cardboard box on the side of the road and it's starting to rain but they don't care at all because they hate poor pluto now and they want it to die of exposure. which it will
Old discourse is old but that's pretty much it. One of the reasons why so many people made a big deal out of Pluto being reclassified as a dwarf planet is that it's the only planet discovered by an American.
And we know how Americans react to scientific progress.
A single remark from an authority figure can do more harm to a child's psyche than a lifetime of watching horror movies, listening to Metal, playing video games, or reading smut. - G. Babey

Time to walk like Egyptian, Lupintic folks!!
The great sin of 21st century far left rethoric was to enforce the idea that only one narrative is possible, correct, and just.
No wonder so many people, young and old, got swayed by the far right, which had been creeping its way up in the West since at least the 80's.
The fascist lie that "you" deserve "everything" and that "everything" was taken from "you" by "them" can only be fueled by an "adversary" that appears to limit no only your choices but your freedom of expression.
Only with time, when hopefully all the lies have been uncovered, be it through certain files that are currently making the news, or through the entire collapse of the military-entertainment complex, will we realise how we've been played on both sides.
Tumblr, at least in my opinion, is partly to blame for making leftist ideas such an easy target, making them look unpalatable, childish and vengeful.
Or course none of that would have happened were it not for social media and, ultimately, the internet. Like printing, etchings, photography, radio, and TV before it, any tool that accelerates and expands the sharing of ideas WILL be used to further an agenda, in complete disregard for reason and truth.
And sadly hate mongers have often been better at communication than those who advocate for restraint and empathy.
Whatever your gender, skin color, religion, etc, the ONLY true divide in this Godforsaken world is between the Haves and the Have-nots. Always has been, always will be.
If you really need to direct your rage unto someone, direct it to the person who employs your employer. Not your slightly reactionary neighbour or your irritating activist. LEAVE PEOPLE BE.
It all starts with a Voltron ship war, because of course it does.
An article I feel everyone on this godforsaken website should read, because Tumblr has been a major part of the puritanical overtaking of Fandom and of the Internet in general.
I have been warning people about this for years, I have been a victim of puritanical bullying from almost every part of the political spectrum, especially on this website.
Now is the time to face the truth. And grow the fuck up!!
Your reminder that no piece of fiction and/or entertainment was made specifically FOR YOU, that you do not and will never OWN IT.
Especially if you are a Western fan of Japanese entertainment, with few exceptions, no manga or anime is made FOR a Western or International audiance. You are not the target. Let it go.
I am responsible for yellow jacket Lupin
If you are a Lupin the Third enthusiast and active online, you might have already encountered the hashtag #yellowpin or #yellowjacketlupin, with fanarts or edits featuring Lupin the Third wearting a yellow jacket, often coupled with a red tie and black shirt and pants.
This distinct color scheme does not come from the feverish imagination of an amateur but is directly lifted from a coloured page of the original manga by Monkey Punch. Such color pages are rare and Lupin’s clothes’s colour was not as settled as it is now. He was also sometimes seen wearing a white jacket or the more traditional red.
Still, that scan was shared a few years ago on Twitter by a Japanese user, SYIN. I retweeted it back in 2016, and even shared the scan here on Tumblr back on my old blog.
I went one step further and drew some fanart of the yellow jacket Lupin. I didn’t wait long for the ripples to come and many other fans jumped on the bandwagon, with some fanartists basing their own recurring color scheme on that discovery.
So yeah, if you see a lot of fanart featuring Lupin in a yellow jacket, it’s because of me, who introduced that color scheme to the Western side of social media.

This print concept was inspired by my love of classic comics and my ever-expanding fascination with the Disney TV series, Gravity Falls. The series has such a style reminiscent of the Golden Age Adventure Comics during the 1940s and 50s that brought me back to the comics of Carl Barks and Walt Kelly. I've always wondered how it would look in a style reminiscent to those comics featured in Walt Disney Comics and Stories. My best bud, @shinreddear, was so kind as to also do different variant colors of the piece itself while I provided the pain and inking. This collaboration piece comes in three different styles like the vintage take, the solid color version, and the black and white inks.

We are past all this
The more I observe the mutations of our cultural landscape, the more I think the word "gay" has lost all concrete meaning and is now an exclusively cultural and stylistic label. This also applies to the word "straight" for that matter. If one doesn't exist, neither does the other.
As a species our sexual preferences and sexual behaviours, whether they intersect or not, are so diverse and so dependant of socio-economic factors, that the relatively recent (historically speaking) dichotomy between "gay" and "straight" has no basis in reality.
To me humanity's sexuality can be put in 3 categories (with switches being able to navigate through them): the penetrators, the penetrated, and the impenetrable (asexuals).
Any other distinction is superfluous. But such is humanity's incorrigible nature that we will keep making distinctions, dividing people into groups, in order to better subject us to the same inequities.
