can someone explain why basic gender-affirming care for trans kids is important?

I.e. binders or chest tape, hormone blockers or hrt if of a certain age, etc.

if possible, facts from studies with sources would be greatly appreciated.

Context:

my mother has been very understanding and accepting of my transgenderness, but recently has been pulling back because she’s afraid of me wanting to fully transition (I’ve been wanting top surgery since I was 12 and my chest dysphoria is debilitating, I cannot leave the house without my binder).

I’ve been requesting TransTape as an alternative for a while, and she’s been very hesitant.

My 10-year-old sister is a therian. She’s a polytherian, and I have, as of today, finished two masks for her. One is an orange cat with green eyes, and one… maybe it’ll just be easier to show you.

At the beginning, it was just a cat mask with a long muzzle:

Then, I cleaned it up and painted the basics.

I’ve taken up sewing. I have this dress that I’ve had for almost four years now. It’s a plain, silk-esque polyester dress. And I hate the way it looks.

so I, with my year of sewing knowledge, have decided to take it apart. She Is currently lying in pieces on the floor, probably not to be put back together anytime soon.

I did hand-tailor a vest so it hugged my waist and now I feel like I’m at the top of the slutty waist hierarchy.
