OP, please don't spread misinformation. The games are NOT "getting killed off" and Obey Me! is not going anywhere.

Solmare has stated this themselves. Publicly. Multiple times. The voice actors have reaffirmed it. Obey Me is not being shut down.

You can still play both games as much as you want, AND new Obey Me projects are coming next year!

Okay, I didn't mean the games were going to die tomorrow.

I understand that this post has shitty wording, but what I meant by "killed off" wasn't "shut down". If I meant "shut down", I would have said that.

When I said "killed off", I meant the content was going to dry up, effectively killing off the games since without new content, the game's player base will dwindle, and eventually get lower. Maybe they'll maintain a solid base until the game implodes, but it's going to be lower.

And obviously if you're wondering why I didn't say that in the original post, that's valid. The reason is that I wanted to make a stupid joke about the situation in a meme format that most tumblr users could understand.

If you're wondering why I worded it like that, also valid. I worded it like that to quickly convey info. I also thought that people would understand that "killed off" doesn't mean the same as "shut down", but I can't blame them for that; a lot of people are in the tags mourning (and not just in the notes of this post).

Okay so again, I understand the disappointment and everything. That's valid. And believe me, I'm in the same boat.

HOWEVER - I don't think anybody believes that people would read the words "both Obey Me games are getting killed off" and interpret that as anything BUT the games being shut down. Because that's what "killed off" literally means.

And the fact that this post has 1000+ notes of people genuinely freaking out because they wholeheartedly believe that the games are indeed being shut down/killed off, (because that's what your post literally said, with no other context or clarifying info) should tell you that nobody is interpreting your choice of words the way you think they are.

Also, the idea that Obey Me will dwindle and die without new content is completely unfounded - because as I said in my reply, WE ARE LITERALLY GETTING MULTIPLE NEW PROJECTS AND NEW CONTENT AFTER NIGHTBRINGER. But nobody in the notes seem to be aware of that.

If you have to write multiple paragraphs to explain why "killed off" doesn't actually mean "killed off" then obviously you're not communicating clearly.

I'm not saying this disrespectfully, I'm saying it because TONS of people on here and on Twitter are fully convinced that the games are being shut down. People are deleting the games from their phones and leaving the fandom because there's so much doomposting, fearmongering, and misinformation about the games being killed off when that just literally isn't true at all.

The fandom is already upset enough that the main story in Nightbringer is being wrapped up. Adding a bunch of misinfo that paints the situation as being MUCH worse than it actually is will just make things significantly more negative and continue to push more players away from the series.

Guys what if the ending of Obey me Nightbringer is that since the brothers might be in the Celestial Realm or something they say sorry to their father and fix up their daddy issues or something because after everything that’s happened lately between the brothers and the Celestial Realm I wouldn’t put it past the writers to make that the ending.

Oh gosh I had a horrifying thought what if they become angels again and that’s the “happy” ending
