Hi! I'm Shoga but I also go by Zachary. I'm just your average nerdy artist making OCs and sometimes fan art but moslty I have been working on my own fantasy/sci-fi world. I'm at uni studying computer arts so studys take up alot of my time and I dont post much but hopefuly that will change in the new year.

we really don’t give Star Trek: Enterprise enough credit for all its heavy lifting connecting Star Trek lore. andorians are FOUNDING MEMBERS of the whole damn Federation and we don’t know hardly anything about them until ENT. and we’ve heard about Surak before a few times but never actually learn about his teachings in detail until ENT. not to mention ENT finally pushes back on the “whole planet of aliens is culturally homogenous” trope by creating different cultures of Vulcans. we only ever see a few Orions before the crew stumbles into them. the ship has no shields, can barely make Warp 5, and routinely gets its ass kicked but the crew is like “yeah we’ll take these dinky phase pistols and hazardous transporters and save earth” and by god they do it. we could never have Kirk or Picard without Archer.

The creative process is 1 of my favorite parts about making art.From coming up with the first few ideas to actually making sketches and even planing out the finals is what I love about art, all the different directions a project can go all the little things that can change over time or even the big things that do change I love it all. Altho I don't like finishing projects I'd rather just do lots and lots of sketches to keep that creative process going.

And even when doing loads of sketches and developments and having a strong image of what I want in my head it doesn't always translate that well when making a final piece

I like to think that my style of working is chaotic and would give any 1 headache when seeing it in practice however there is 1 part of the process that I do take great care and actually want to go smoothly and that being taking photos of my work.

I don't have the best photography skills so having a snapshot works great for me to just get some decent photos of my work and for me isn't that complacated to work and the results speak for them selves.

The picutr on the right was done on my phone and it does the job.

The picutr on the left was done with my camera and it just hits different, the is a wider range of colour, shades, there is a better definition of tone and the sketch I did is more profound. The camera also has a cleaner image taken away that sort of yellow tone the phone as when out side

A quick lino workshop I did for my class, it was very fun to expose every 1 to the world of printmaking and see everyones amazing prints. Can't wait to see if any one keeps going and what they make
