{🩵}—What's her personality like?

She's a very bubbly and energetic girl. She enjoys making her friends laugh and laughing with them, in fact, she'll take any chance she's got to make sure everyone is having a good time. She's incredibly aware of people's feelings, mostly from her own experience. She's a great listener even tho sometimes she accidentally interrupts the other person because of her huge amount of energy.

{🩵}—Why is she studying at UA?

She's from Argentina. The government there is shutting down every hero school because of the anti-hero propaganda. Being a hero was her dream since she was a child, so as one of her mom's childhood friend lives in Japan, she took the chance and move in with her to study at UA.

{🩵}—Does her quirk have any downsides?

Yes. Using her quirk too much is like going on a 3 hour hard gym session after 8 hours of no eating. So she has to make sure she eats well and is well rested or else she might faint in the middle of the fight. Overuse also affects her muscles.

{🩵}—What are her hero costume's props?

She has anti-vibration platforms under her boots. Since this is the first season costume, there's not much to it.

Laurel had never celebrated Valentine's Day since it's not a really famous thing in Argentina, but when she knew that the Hero School she wanted to go to was in Japan, she not only learned the language but also everything about it. She discovered that in Japan on Valentine's Day, the girls are the one's to give gifts to the boys. So when she met Shoto she knew who she wanted to give handmade chocolate on February 14th. Even if Shoto has always received tons of gifts on Valentine's Day, he never reciprocated anything on White Day as the Japanese tradition says. But when he met Laurel, he investigated about Argentina and found out that on Valentine's is the boys the one's to give out gifts only to the girls they like. So on February 14th, they both ended up giving each other gifts at the same time because their plans clashed. Laurel finds this situation ironic, but still sweet.

Mina and Midoriya where the one's to convince Laurel and Shoto (respectively) to do this, so they are surprised the other had the same idea.

Happy Valentine's! 🩷🫶🏻 I'm so happy and proud of this drawing! 🥺 I tried doing BNHA official art painting style, which was actually more fun for me because is similar to my own style. Drawing style is Hori's tho. I'm in love with how the sparkles and the balloons turned out! And the background! It was a pain in the ass doing that pattern in Paint Tool Sai but I did it! [BNHA OC AU: Melting]

CHAPTER 0: THE BEGINNING

Laurel was 10 years old when she learned that her quirk came with the dangerous capacity of ending life just by the touch. Until then, she was only capable of making cracks in objects, since as a toddler she didn't have the strength to do anything bigger. But as she got older not only she got stronger, but also her quirk became more uncontrollable. Her emotions play a huge roll in the control of her quirk, and when a ladybug landed on her hand, the excitement she felt was translated as energy in the form of waves, making the little bug vibrate to much it exploded in front of her eyes. Children say hurtful stuff. Her classmates were quick to label her as the murderer of the classroom, forcing her to change schools and making her so insecure of her own power that she refused to make any friends.

But in her mind and heart there was still a dream. The desire to become a hero everyone can trust on.

IM SO HAPPY I CAN FINALLY SHARE THIS WITH YOU ALL!! I really like how this came out, I feel like I'm getting better at drawing in bnha style, but I still feel more comfortable and confident drawing in my own haha
