Just a note that both of my prompts are not specific to any one of the turtles. I wasn't sure how to write what I wanted other than in first person so that's what I did, have fun y'all!:)
@personne-writes hello, I got really inspired by one of your prompts and wrote for it, this took me about 2-3 days (granted I had started it pretty late at night and have been pretty busy since, but that's besides the point-) I hope you enjoy it:)) @tmnt-write-fight

Prompt: "You don't know. You weren't there."
Writing: Leo lay perfectly still in the med-bay, waiting for Draxum to finish rebandaging his shell. It had been nearly a month since the end of the world, and about a week since he woke up from his coma, he was still getting coddled but he didn't really mind it all that much. Think about it, with how much everything hurts right now, it was honestly a relief to wake up to his brothers not being mad at him, granted he did get a scolding of a lifetime from his dad and sister, but that was mostly interrupted by tears and such. At some point he'd closed his eyes and didn't even realize it until he heard Draxum say, quieter than he'd ever heard him before, ârest well Leonardo, you're going to need itâ before Leo heard the clicking of Barryâs hoofs walking away from him.
Leo lay there, eyes shut as exhaustion started to weigh down his bones when he heard the door to the med-bay open again, soon followed by the quiet footsteps of his twin. Of course Donnie was here, he'd been visiting more and more, now that Leo thought about it. He shuffled over on the mattress when he heard Donnie stop near his head, he expected his twin to lay down next to him and just start watching something on his phone, but he didn't, he just stood there and stared at Leo.
When he realized Donnie wasn't going to lay down he shuffled back over to the middle of the old mattress and carefully rolled over onto his side, just to look at Donnie. But what he saw looking back at him was not the twin he knew and grew up with, it was what appeared to be a shell of him, the bags under his eyes larger than before the invasion and he just looked so tired and overwhelmed.
Donnie's eyes never fully landed on Leo's, always looking just to the right of his head or staring directly at his shell, tracing the starburst of cracks with his eyes. He fidgeted with his hands, wringing them before tugging at his sleeves, and then messing with the strings on his hoodie before he finally spoke up and said something, still avoiding eye contact. âCouldn't sleep⊠I figured you'd be awake andâŠâ his throat suddenly felt bone-dry, and he swallowed thickly, hoping to make the pain of speaking go away with the action. Donatello stood there, still messing with the strings of his hoodie when he finally locked eyes with Leo, his nervous fidgeting came to a screeching halt when he saw the scar going across his twinâs cheek, there was a decent sized scar left from what Prime had done, but that's not what made Donnie freeze like a deer in headlights. No, it was the fact that Leo was staring at him with such a disappointed look on his face, he didn't even know why it made him even more nervous than before but it did, and that thought alone terrified him right down to his very core.
Donnie stood there for a little while, just staring at Leo before he finally asked what he'd been dying to know, âwhat happened in there?â
Donnie's question made Leoâs breath catch in his throat before he rolled back onto his plastron while mumbling, âI don't want to talk about itâŠâ He hugged the pillow under his head after saying that, the feeling of shame drowning him as he remembered just how okay he was with dying that day. Every time someone asked him that question he always ducked and dodged away from answering, but he had a feeling that wasn't going to be the case tonight. His theory was proven correct when Don said, âwell, I know something happened because there is absolutely no way you'd come back from there looking like that if he just left you alone.â Leo's breath stuttered as he tried to not freak out on Donnie and just breathe, still not answering his question. âYou can't just ignore me Leo, you have to tell someone about what happened in there. You know just as well as I do that bottling up something like that is-â Leo cut him off, ânot good for my mental health. Yeah, I know. I don't need you telling me that every hour of my fucking life.â His tone was cold and sharp, cutting through Donnie's train of thought like paper. âSorry, sorry. It just gets really annoying when everyone is telling me to open up, and how to live my life. Itâs my fucking life, not yours, not dadâs, not Raphâs or Mikeys, itâs not even Aprilâs. So, maybe you all should just mind your own business and worry about taking care of yourselves.â Leoâs voice was bitter, anger seeping through no matter how much he tried to shove it down, his voice rising more and more the longer he spoke. His frustration and annoyance clouded his mind too much, it had gotten to the point that he hadnât noticed the tears filling his twinâs eyes, the pained expression on his face, and the way his arms were shaking at his sides.
Donnie was standing there, his body rigid as his twinâs words cut into him, it felt as though the very core of his being was being shattered with how far Leo is pushing him away. He felt like he was suffocating in the silence that followed, a ringing in his tympanum building as his heart hammered against his ribcage. Donnie stared at Leo for a long moment before finally speaking, his voice ragged from how dry his throat was, âLeo, you can't just push everyone away-â Donnie was abruptly and rudely interrupted, once again by Leo's cold tone.
âYes I can, and I will. You wouldnât- no, you don't understand how hard it is to talk about it- him.. you weren't there. I mean, honestly how could you understand?â He was starting to get a little hysterical âYou quite literally were not there, there's no way you could understand!â He laughed weakly, the sound broken even to his own ears as his fingernails dug into the back of his hand, fat tears were forming in his eyes and he quickly wiped them away on the pillow.
Leo hated crying, mostly because he felt even worse than before when he did cry. This was something Donnie knew very well, so it somewhat surprised him when he saw the shaking of Leo's shoulders against the mattress, and the quick wipe of his face against the pillow. He hesitated for a second before sitting down on the edge of the bed and starting to rub small circles against Leo's shell, just hoping to comfort him. His throat felt even dryer than before, but he pushed through the pain and spoke, âI'm sorry⊠I shouldn't have pushed, I know you don't like to- just know I'm sorry.â Words didn't always come easy to him, so he almost always had a hard time articulating his appreciation, or apologies, to his brothers; however, that certainly did not stop him from trying.
âIt-it's fine I just, fuck I shouldn't have freaked out on you like that.. sorry for thatâŠâ Leo sniffed, wiping away the remains of his tears on his arm as he rolled over onto his side and grabbed his twin, pulling Donnie down onto the rough mattress with him and burying his face against his shoulder.
It wasn't long before he felt and heard Leo drift off into sleep, while he normally hates the feeling of wetness from tears and snot on his hoodies, he paid it no mind this time. Knowing it was important for both him and Leo to get some sleep, he plugged in his phone, took off his headphones, adjusted himself so he was more comfortable, and steadily drifted into an uneventful sleep.

Prompt: "âThis could very well be my villain origin story.â
âFor Pete's sake dude, somebody ate your pizza slice, itâs not a big deal!â"
Raph churred as he and his brothers piled on top of each other in a fort-like structure, content with the fact that all of his brothers were finally home, safe and sound. Even after everything that had happened over the past two years, even after Leo got better and could walk again and Mikey's hands stopped shaking quite as bad, he couldn't stop thinking that something was going to happen. So, to soothe himself when he'd wake up at night, a scream caught in his throat, he'd get up and walk around the lair, checking on each of his brothers and his father as he went.
At some point he had fallen asleep, only realizing this when he woke up to the sound of yelling coming from the kitchen. Raphâs anxiety spiked for just a moment to find his brothers not next to, or on top of him. The rapid beating of his heart slowed when he heard them in the kitchen, arguing over something. What that was, he wasn't sure but he sure as hell wasn't going to stay in the living room alone, where the shadows seemed to follow him, only watching him and his family, never actually doing anything.
Raph got up and walked over to the kitchen, only to get to the doorway and find Mikey practically lunging at Leo, Donnie just trying to hold their youngest brother back; which just made Raph sigh a deep, slightly annoyed sigh before he walked over and picked up Mikey by his shell, staring at him with tired eyes before saying, âMikey, why are you attacking Leo?â
âHe should pay for his crimes against this family.â Mikey crossed his arms and huffed as he dangled there, glaring at Leo out of the corner of his eye. âWh- Dude it was just a slice of pizza, it's not that big of a deal!â Leo sputtered, which just made Mikey even more angry, âJUST A SLICE OF PIZZA?! It was the last one, and I called dibs!â Mikey retorted, anger practically radiating off of his normally cheery and smiling face as he glared at Leo, his beak turned down in a scowl.
All of this was giving Raph a headache, so he just resorted to doing the only thing he knew to do in this moment, hugging Mikey close to his plastron and walking right back into the living room, where he collapsed onto the piles of pillows and snuggled Mikey like a teddy bear. Mikey of course hit his fists against Raph's plastron, trying to get him to put his youngest brother down, which just made Mikey tired and nuzzle his beak into Raph's arm. ââm gonna make him pay tâmorrowâŠâ Mikey mumbled, exhaustion weighing down his limbs before he passed out in Raph's hold. He sighed as he held his youngest brother close, the shadows only seeming to back off when he had at least one of his brothers close to him. As he laid there and held Mikey close like a teddy bear, watching the doorway to see if the twins would come to join them again, he felt his eyes begin to get heavy, the exhaustion settling deep in his bones as he allowed his eyelids to slip shut, the last thing he remembers thinking being, âAs long as you're here, everything will be okay. Anata wa hitori janai.â The words of his long lost, now dead, grandmother echoing around in his head as he slipped peacefully into sleep.

Prompt: "âTry as you might⊠you cannot escape death.â
âWatch me.â"
âSo this is what death feels likeâ Leo thought bleakly as Prime rammed its fists into his plastron, sending him flying through the desolate space of the prison dimension, before crash landing on another hunk of rock, tilting it slightly as he did.
âYOU'VE. RUINED. EVERYTHING!â Prime's metal claws slam into him as he speaks, âYOU WRETCHED. LITTLE. PEST.â The anger covering Primeâs face like a dark shadow suddenly turns to a wicked smile, and as it chuckles and says, âand now.. my wrath will be reserved for you alone.â
The next thing Leo knew there was pain shooting through his body like fireworks, blossoming from not only his plastron, but also his shell. He could practically feel the scutes of his shell get shredded and ripped apart as Prime wailed on him, punching his face and chest over, and over, and over again.
Leo lay there, weak and barely conscious, his head tilted to the side, looking at the smiling faces of his family as Prime loomed over him, glaring down at him like he was a pathetic, weak, useless pest. Like he had no use other than to be this monster's punching bag, forever punished for what he did, for the lives that were lost, for not listening to his family when he should've, for letting Raph get captured⊠yeah maybe he did deserve thisâŠ
Tears welled up in his eyes as he was picked up and thrown across more empty space, with nothing but faint stars and what remained of the once powerful Krang for miles. But he still felt good about this, he knew this was for the better, that it was going to be okay, because he was here with this monster and his family was safe back on Earth, away from him the Krang and out of danger. So yeah, he smiled, not because he felt okay in any way shape or form, but because his family was okay, they were safe, and as long as that was always the result, he would endure this pain for eternity to make sure it stayed that way.
âWIPE THAT SMILE OFF YOUR FACE!â Krang shouted at him, raising its fists before slamming him down into more rock, which broke from the impact and he was floating through space again, cool and alone. God he hated being alone, but it was okay, his family is safe and that's all that matters⊠right? He wasn't so sure about that anymore, the pain blooming across his body was borderline unbearable as the cold of the prison dimension finally sank into his bones, the heat from the rush of adrenaline finally wearing off. And yet, as he endured the pain, as he waited for the sweet release of death to happen, it never came, instead what swam across his vision was a bright orange light, quickly expanding into a portal, his brother's faces on the other side.
His brain took a minute to catch up with what was happening. Prime was holding his right ankle, its claws digging into his skin, trying to keep him there with it, Raph was holding his right arm with a projection of his ninpo, Donnie had launched a drill at Prime's face to try and get it to let go of him, but it hung on, refusing to let go. âTry as you might, little pest. You cannot escape me, you cannot escape death.â Krang said to him, in that horrible, disgusting, voice. And Leo just stared at it for a moment before raising his left leg and slamming it into Prime's bright red light, shattering the glass and making the light go out, âWatch me.â
