Thematically speaking, the most important thing Terry Pratchett taught me was the concept of militant decency. obviously the crew/stede is going to eventually rejoin ed on the revenge in s2 and I am absolutely obsessed with the logistics of that, because you knooooow they're gonna hold a massive grudge against him. like give me a scene where ed kindly asks lucius to write something down for him and lucius is like oh sorry captain but I actually can't do that. you see when you pushed me overboard my wooden finger got waterlogged and now I'm unable to write. goodluck learning how to do it yourself :). give me a scene where jim attempts to assassinate ed for the marooning olu, only for him to turn his head in the knick of time and narrowly miss the blade. give me a scene where black pete walks up to ed and is like you know I used to think you were cool >:(. never meet your heros. and ESPECIALLY give me a scene where stede sits them all down and tries to (unsuccessfully) convince them to forgive and forget.
