This post really exemplifies the problem with this type of youth.  Every shrieking child out there views themselves as a hero, the protagonist of their very own YA novel, and have an entire identity based around being downtrodden and finding an enemy to defeat.  Also these books romanticize the violence and rebellion in them and honestly gloss over all the unpleasant parts in them.  So these kids who think like this want to go out and violently rebel against something but they don’t want violence or even disagreement towards them.  I’m the hero, people don’t disagree with me, I’m write obviously, so why doesn’t everyone see that?  Well if they don’t agree with me, then…then they must be a villain, and I simply need to beat them, then everyone will see how right I am.

What really sucks about this is that even if a rebellion at some point becomes necessary they don’t realize that they aren’t the protagonist of everyone’s story and real life doesn’t have plot armor.

No shit, everything can be improved upon no matter what it is but no one needs to be ‘liberated’ or ‘fight for rights’ at this point. Now it’s just a matter of not acting like dicks to people who aren’t LGBT so we can all work towards getting along better because that’s how things improve even more.
