You know how it's weird that the scrying eyes can see Durge a bazillion times in Act 1 and 2 but somehow the news that Durge is alive comes as a surprise to Gortash in Act 3? My hc is that Gortash himself wouldn't waste time watching any of the scrying eyes feed. But the Banites do. And they collectively upon seeing Durge alive decided that "no, our boss doesn't need to see that actually. He and Durge were insufferable before, we definitely don't need that again, maybe the bhaalspawn would kick the bucket again and for good this time"
