Final Destination: Hatchetfield

For the second year in a row, I've been participating in the @hatchetfield-bang and this year I got to make a companion piece to the fic "Final Destination: Hatchetfield" by @tapestryoftrauma which you should read ASAP, its a banger. Its storytelling is so vivid, its great!

It was so much fun learning how to draw rubble, and I'm honestly really proud of how it all turned out - might post the rubble pieces as their own thing to show off the work, as its a little hard to see with the blur on top. This really made me fall in love with drawing using the polygon tool in FireAlpaca, which has inspired me to do that for my personal inktober this year (although I'm starting tomorrow as I have also been working on this drawing today and ya girl needs a break from staring at a screen lmao)

it’s funny bc I think I have a lot to learn, with blindspots that I’m still trying to fill in by reading more and talking to people etc, but when I’m hanging around certain family members I suddenly become The Wokest Person Alive just by merit of having made some attempt to not be shitty. and this isn’t level 3 discourse like “conflating submissiveness with a preference for bottoming is misogynistic”, it’s basic shit like “no, health is not a state of mind, and sick people are sick for reasons beyond bad attitude,” and “no, you should not loudly talk about how shocked you were that a Nigerian man was at grandma’s funeral,” and “please don’t say that about Jewish people,” and so on.
