honestly the fact that people think kris is the reason for noelle being "corrupted" when in the text she clearly enjoys dark disturbing things even without kris present kind of robs her of some agency. she is not just a sweet innocent girl who doesn't know any better, that's not the real noelle. that's what she shows the town. noelle likes horror, edgy emo music, wearing black clothes and makeup, the antithesis of her outward appearance. she likes the idea of being degraded by susie, she has desires. anything a normal teenager would. but she's not allowed to, kept stuck in place to reflect a faded memory
