Roxy works as barkeeperin at night. Over the day she usally drives around with her motorbike or spends time outside. She loves plants and nature.
Mika is the opposite. While some people may think he looks adorable, he feels drawn to everything dark and morbid. He works in a forensic photolab and writes poesie.

Fauna made it to the Lobelia’s just before the sun set. It was just going to be the two of them for the night.
The rest of the the family had had left on official business for the day and wouldn’t come back until the next day.
Of course Lobelia wasn’t completely alone. She had her servants. Fauna still suggested she stay over to keep her company. Lobelia was old after all. Much too old. Her body didn’t show it but the way she moved did. Slow and slightly shaky.
They spent a pleasant night having a sleep over like teens.
The next morning Lobelia woke Fauna up early to watch the sunrise.
They chatted quietly, enjoying some juice and biscuits as they waited for the Sun’s arrival.
The scene was perfect. Birds chirped nearby. Little critters scuttled through the bushes. The sky filled with a gradient of warmth while the sea breeze caressed their skin. They felt at ease with each other.
“It’s beautiful.” Lobelia nudged Fauna, who seemed to be caught in a trance,
“Yes.”
“This time of day is my favorite.” Lobelia giggled as she watched squirrels tumbling about next to a nearby bush.
“I haven’t truly took the time to appreciate nature like this, in a long time.” Fauna sighed. “It’s just been an atmosphere for sulking. That’s why I sleep ‘til noon.”
Lobelia laughed at her fairy friend. Who in the worlds would think that way?
“What?” Fauna wondered what was so funny about her statement.
It was better than the weird look Uliec gives her when she told him things like that.
“You’re such a weird fairy. Isn’t the sun still up at noon?”
“Yes but I’ll not greeting us with warmth, like now. It’s more like a quick pinch. Nothing so soft. So calming.”
Fauna was over that time of the day. It made her remember what she used to have. Her family, including her cousin, Mistora.
“Macha and I would watch the sunrise almost everyday when we were younger. Those were the best times for us. Just watching the beauty of life and how the seasons changed.”
They had gotten close enough for Fauna to know about her friend’s past.
About how the siblings care for each other. Also About the horrors that they went through. It made Fauna feel a twinge of guilt talking to Lobelia behind Macha’s back. Her little sister was just a little like her, but it was in these moments that it felt like Macha was the one talking to her.
She missed it.
Missed what they used to be like as kid. The way Macha treated her as sincerely as Lobelia did, even when she was being snappy. The way her, Mistora, Macha and Uliec would sit in the nearby forest and fool around.
She missed Mistora the most. but now it seemed like they would never be the same again.
They couldn’t be with how things changed. She already knew that, even though Lobelia tried to convince her otherwise.
“Your family should arrive soon right?”
“You change the subject, but yes.”
Fauna stood up “You should get ready. You have a royal conference. remember?”
Lobelia pinched her cheek playfully before she got up to help. Fauna reached out to pull her up.
“It’s okay Faun.” Lobelia held the had of the fairy who could barely hide her increasing discontent with the previous subject. Lobelia squeezed it a little cause their eyes to meet.
“Things will work you exactly as they should, dear. It just takes some time.”
Fauna looked to the sky, nodding and blinking, trying to hide the tears the came. A soft hand swept the escaping tears away.
Fauna leaned into them for a moment before she held it preparing to move.
“Help me find something pretty to wear. Something golden and happy so we can match.”
“Sure.” Fauna chuckled as she helped Lobelia move.
They walked for a bit before Lobelia spoke her thoughts.
“Soon it’ll be like you never even fought to begin with.”
Fauna scrunched her face playfully, humoring her old friend who was much too hopeful. It did make her feel better to hear those words.
She hoped it would come true sooner rather than later.
