(Yes I am aware that in reality the interpretation is more generally under the guise of portraying Thorin’s downfall due to the sickness of the mountain and Bilbo seeing his friend in arms become sick and thus worrying, but its so fun interpreting their interactions so romantically)

How much you wanna bet when Thorin first meets bilbo at his house, he doubts his burglar-ness because he thought Bilbo was so handsome and too gentle (love at first sight) to be able to handle the quest.
