Day 20

The reason behind Mo Xuanyu stopping with the ritual when Jin Ling made his presence known is because he recognized him as his nephew, hence stopping and coming to the realization of what he was doing. Thoughts internally were a mess but he was aware enough of his actions that he can't do the ritual in front of his nephew. In his defense though? Mo Xuanyu expected nobody to interrupt.
