Hi I was just wondering if you had any idea how to make a glass texture in blender. I want to make a bottle in Paralives but I'm stumped on how to get that cloudy transparent look of glass.

First of all I haven't started modding for Paralives but to create something glass like for the sims you should start with some transparency.

First I just made a blue square on PS and lower the opacity to ~30. Probably you can skip this and just change the base color and alpha on blender directly.

Save it as .png, since .jpg doesn't have transparency

Next, load the image into blender and on the nodes section be sure to connect both the color and the alpha

You should already see the transparency on the model

And now to bake something with transparency you have to create a blank image outside of blender and you are going to bake on top of it, be sure you have clear image unchecked like this:

Ignore the ugly UV pls, but you can see that the texture have the transparency still on it and it should look like glass.

For the sims there's some extra steps to make it look good in game because it tends to look jaggered if you upload the model as is. Here's a tutorial by peacemaker about it

And since I haven't started modding for paralives I can't help you with the process of making the model game ready or anything else outside blender.

The best advice I can give you is to start with and object that already has some transparency or glass look so that way if you have to do some configuration to activate the alpha or somethig, that should be already taken care of (idk if I'm explaining myself correctly, but basically use the closest object available to what you want to achieve ^^)

I'm stuck with floating cats since yesterday :/

I tried changing the footprint, updating the tuning so they can't just lay down on it...

The only thing that I can think of is changing the footprint again and put everything on Z = 0 so they would be on the floor but I know they will be clipping with the stairs or the bat or the columns.... ughhhh

Also for the rigs i followed @alistu pet bed tutorial thanks, I would have never figured out the tuning part in my own
