Hey y'all I'm trying to find a fic I once read on AO3 a while back and I can't seem to find it anywhere. It was a Jazz/Jason fic where Danny was reborn, Jazz was his mom, and Jason was his bio dad. I think Jason catches him trying to steal the tires off his bike because Jazz's tires popped or something? I know Jason calls Bruce freaking out at the same time Bruce in civvies had the joker break in to wherever he was and Bruce practically punted the Joker out a window thinking the Joker hurt Jason again. Also I'm pretty sure in this Danny had Jason's white hair stripe?

being anti ai is making me feel like in going insane. "you asked for thoughts about your characters backstory and i put it into chat gpt for ideas". studies have proven its making people dumber. "i asked ai to generate this meal plan". its causing water shortages where its data centers are built. "ill generate some pictures for the dnd campaign". its spreading misinformation. "i was talking with my snapchat ai-" theres no way to verify what its doing with the information it collects. "youtube is impletmenting ai based age verification". my work has an entire graphics media department and has still put ai generated motivational posters up everywhere. ai playlists. ai facial verification. google ai microsoft ai meta ai snapchat ai. everyone treats it as a novelty. every treats it as a mandatory part of life. am i the only one who sees it? am i paranoid? am i going insane? jesus fucking christ. if i have to hear one more "well at least-" "but it does-" "but you can-" im about to lose it. i shouldnt have to jump through hoops to avoid the evil machine. have you no principles? no goddamn spine? am i the weird one here?

how about this: when i was 9 and my stepdad beat me until i passed out and i told my friends at school, my teacher over heard and i was interviewed by cps. they also went to my house when i was at school. when i got home, my step father was waiting on the couch, and told me who visited him that day. he told me if i ever snitched again he would beat me to within an inch of my life.

how about this: my mother locked me out of the house when i was 14 and when i cried so loud the neighbors called the cops, the cop told me i should have been respectful of my mother who was trying to sleep.

okay but…that is actually what went down on earth about 2.5 billion years ago.

If you've got a friend that you know can't remember shit, and you feel like it'd be rude to remind them about something that's coming up beforehand just in case they did remember something they signed up for and now you feel bad for implying that you don't trust their memory, and you know that there's a 90% chance that they won't remember the thing unless you remind them, here's a tip from someone with a Can't Remember Shit Disease:

Instead of simply reminding them about the event, just ask them about a specific detail involved in it instead. If you know that The Thing is on next week's friday, and the last moment you need confirmation whether they're coming or not is this thursday, instead of texting

"Hey you remember we have the thing on next week's friday, right?"

you can text some specific question - regardless of whether the info itself is important to you or not - that clarifies when the event is, like

"Hey are you going to be driving to the thing next week's friday, or is someone giving you a ride? We'll need to plan parking beforehand."

Because in case they did remember the thing, they can just answer you for the question you asked. And if they didn't remember and go "OH SHIT IT'S NEXT WEEK I COMPLETELY FORGOT", you still gave them the reminder they needed just the same.

I don't personally get insulted when people gently remind me that they know that I can't remember shit, and most self-aware memory problem people don't either, but if you're worried that it would feel rude to remind people about things you're worried they might've forgotten, this is a good way to circumvent that.
