He blinks a little, pursing his lips as he studies the other man’s rugged features. He’s got a seemingly bored expression on his face, something Elija can relate to considering how quiet things seem. There’s a bored sigh as he rests his cheek on his palm.

“How long have we been sitting here for? Two, three hours now?” He grunts out in a very displeased tone, adjusting in his seat so he might be able to lean forward a bit more.

“Do these meetings always last this long?” Trade relation based meetings between Denmark and Malta were always so tedious. It wasn’t exactly enjoyable to have to sit and listen to his boss and the other male’s go through such foolish formalities while they discussed trade agreements.

[ && ] -- Jen taps his fingers against the table, staring blankly just beyond Eli until he manages to speak up, answering the young man’s few statements. He grins a little, shaking his head as a hand props upwards to hide his face from the few officials at the other end of the table.

“I’d say at least two hours.” he whispers, chewing on the inside of his mouth idly. Of course the whole situation is far fetched and annoying; though it was interesting to see how much the little kid he once knew centuries ago has grown. It almost brings a smile to his face, and Jen has himself a chuckle.

“I’d say so. Why? You haven’t palled around with some of your government officials to audit trade agreement meetings?” It’s just a jab, but he winks and leans back in his chair. His weight causing distracting creaks in the wooden seat.
