My thoughts are with with the Indian staff this morning who have COVID, and Indian players who are concerned they may do. I truly hope they’re ok.
And with Jimmy, who will (most likely, you never know with him!) never play another test match at his home ground. Particularly as we don’t have a test next summer.
And with me, who booked three days off work and had tickets for the first four days.
This truly sucks.
this is going around twitter rn but im also super curious: please tell me your top four comfort movies that you’re always down to watch bc my friend thinks mine are ridiculous and now we’ve realised everyone’s version of “comfort” is hilariously different
Sense and Sensibility (1995)
The Parent Trap (1998)
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Downton Abbey
if i was in a jane austen novel i would be the one sent to the seaside for my health
I’ve been told two days this week not to go into work because of the weather and I’m bored as hell. I reaalllyyy want to write something but no idea what so currently looking back through all of my ancient WIPs.
I had a dream last night about the only person I’ve ever been in love with. I haven’t seen him in 6 years. I woke up and was astounded by my ability to still have his sense of humour absolutely down to a tee. It wasn’t some kind of fairytale perfect dream, it was just him being sarky with me, and it was great.
The last time Roger Federer played Rafa Nadal at Wimbledon, ‘the greatest match of all time’, I was 15. I’d been a fan of Roger for 3 years by then, I was devastated when he lost and cried myself to sleep that night.
Since then I’ve been fortunate enough to see Roger player at Wimbledon live, and he has won 7 more slams. I even saw him hold the trophy aloft from the balcony in 2017, having watched the final on the hill.
Nothing though, not even Roger defeating Nadal in another grand slam final and finally winning his 18th slam, at the Australian Open 2017, has ever fully removed the sting from the memory of that loss.
But a win today, just may do.
Chum jetze Roger, I love you <3
I have never felt ‘I have no idea what I’m doing with my life or even what I want’ more than I do right now.
Send me a ‘hi’ and I will put my playlist on shuffle, write down the first line of five songs and give it to you as a poem.

Imagine being paid to do this!!
With hindsight, I’m glad I waited to start writing because that goal was SUBLIME!
