Kataang vs. Zutara

PROS

Kataang has LONGEVITY. Aang and Katara compliment each other (Aang’s determination for peace, Katara’s ferocity) and can sustain a long, healthy love.

Zutara has TENSION. Enemies to lovers, redemption, gaining trust? We’re suckers for angst. Zuko and Katara are drawn to each other like magnets (Reylo coulda been based on this for real).

CONS

Kataang is PREMATURE. Like an uncooked pie. The age difference feels even weirder when Aang is 13- why would Katara fall for him when Zuko is right there?

Zutara is RISKY. Any conflict could drive them apart. It’s built heavily on passion, which isn’t as solid as the friendship Katara has with Aang. (and Zuko already has a friendship with Mai.)
