Inspirational Quotes Without The Inspiration
The Marauders Would Not Have Been Aurors
They were plagued with blood supremacy and fear their entire lives, I don’t think all of them would’ve dedicated their lives to a job that continues such feelings even after the war. Especially because James would not become an auror if he was going to start a family, he wouldn’t put them in danger like that. (This post is also supported by my other posts/headcanons so check them out if you’re curious as to my reasoning)
So here is what they would’ve been (yes I can explain these):
James - Professional Quidditch Player
Sirius - Works in the Ministry as the wizards equivalent to a Social Worker
Peter - Auror (He was a spy for so long, he knows the inner workings and how their minds work and he will stop at nothing to protect others like the friends that took him in when he was younger)
Remus - DADA Teacher (where he always belonged, and also teaches up to date information on magical creatures and helps fight unfair judgements)
Honorable Mention:
Lily - Takes over teaching transfiguration and being head of Gryffindor House since McGonagall took over as Hogwarts’ Headmistress
(yes, Rem and Lily do have lunch together, often with McGonagall as well)
When Sirius Was Sent Away
Sirius Orion Black was sent away with other purebloods the summer between his fifth and six years. He was determined to fight whatever they put through his head. He heard about these trips, that other purebloods have been taking every summer where they celebrated their heritage and their allegiance to the dark lord. He didn’t want to stand for any of it.
What he didn’t expect, was for the other guys to look at him with a glimmer of understanding. He didn’t expect for Grant Avery to sit down and speak to him, to help him realize that most of them didn’t believe in the cause, but all of them had their own reasons for being here.
He didn’t expect to see these people, these purebloods, these Slytherins, as anything other than biggots worth less than the dirt beneath his shoes. Instead, he learned their stories and formed a bond with them. A part of Sirius was worried that James and Rem and Peter would want nothing to do with him when he returned with a new found respect for these other boys, but he refuse to let that potential judgement stop him from doing what he thought was right.
That summer, everyone wore a sleeve over their left arm. It wasn’t anyone’s business whether somebody had the mark or not, and even if they did there’s probably a story to it that you don't know.
That summer, Sirius learned the truth about the matching leather jackets the Slytherins wore. He learned what the symbols on the back stood for, and he got one of his own. He learned he shouldn’t have judged them so quickly.
That summer, the death of Regulus Black was announced and Sirius smiled, knowing the truth.
That summer, Sirius Black started his own program. Sirius Black would help smuggle the children of Deatheaters into the United States where they could attend Ilvermorny, a school with little to no blood supremacy and they could be accepted.
When it was announced that the children of Deatheaters were dying left and right, Sirius Black was reading a letter from his brother about how he made seeker on his house’s Quodpot team.
When it was announced that Hogwarts was under attack, those Ilvermorny students, children of those Deatheaters, returned to fight for equality among wizards.
I'm thinking of a world that’s better...
One where deatheaters’ children were announced dead, including Regulus Black, and their siblings smiled knowing the truth.
One where the dead deathearters’ siblings snuck out of Hogwarts and made an illegal portkey to Ilvermorny so that they could attend Ilvermorny’s Quodpot matches, watching their “dead” siblings fight for the win.
One where when deatheaters infiltrate Hogwarts, those “dead” children come in droves fighting against the dark lord in their Ilvermorny robes.Â
Markings of Deatheater Children
The children of the Sacred 28 deatheater families all have the number 28 tattooed on their left ring finger. It’s their own way of saying “What goes on this finger has been decided for me.” Children of the 28, no matter their position on blood supremacy all get it as a small act of rebellion against their parents so that when a ring does sit there, the rest of the world will know that it isn’t because of their choice.
And when I say no matter their beliefs on blood supremacy, I mean children like Evan Rosier and Sirius Black alike. No matter their differing beliefs, they still acknowledge a shared struggle. They are traumatized and scared children, but their hearts are still human.
If you’ve also seen this headcanon, you know that children of the Sacred 28 also have either a scar, the dark mark, or a dark mark with muggle tattoo flowers around it. These markings as well as the “28″ on their ring finger are the markings that keep them together even through internal conflicts and differing beliefs. A bond they all share, for better or worse.
Pureblood Marriages Pt.2
Children of the 28 who decided to marry other children of the 28 out of convenience over love have decided that just because they aren’t marrying someone they are head over heels for, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get the wedding of their dreams. Everyone involved in the wedding plays their part to make their wedding a gigantic, extravagant party like they deserve.
Pureblood Marriages Pt.1
Pureblood parents arrange marriages for their children in order to keep the pureblood lines strong. The latest a child is usually “promised” to another is at the age of 5, but it isn’t uncommon to betroth a child to an infant, or to a child yet to be born. (They do try to keep the age gaps within 5 years though.)
I love how I hear the name of a character who’s past is never specified in the books so I give them a whole back story and get emotionally attached.
The Pureblood Courting Ball
All of the Pureblood families would have a yearly ball with all of their children. They are expected to have a pureblood date, or else the parents start setting their kids up with others that didn’t show up with a date. This way, the pureblood lines can continue.
Grant Avery
Okay, so we all know the Avery family from Harry Potter.
All we know about Avery is that...
he went to Hogwarts at the same time as the Marauders.
he fought on Voldemort’s side in the first wizarding war.
he avoided Azkaban after the first wizarding war by claiming to be under the imperius curse.
he was tortured by Voldemort with the cruciatus curse because he claimed to be under the imperius curse.
he led Voldemort to believe that Broderick Bode could remove a prophecy ball from the Ministry of Magic, which was later proven to be impossible.
his father, (Avery Sr.) went to school with Tom Riddle.
We don’t even know Avery(the death eater)’s first name. Because so little is known about the Avery family, I’ve been able to take many creative liberties.Â

Why Some People Became Death Eaters (and why their kids did or didn’t continue follow them)
So, I started thinking about how Sirius and Regulus could not have been the only children of death eaters who disagreed with their parent’s beliefs. (yes, I know I’m kind of getting ahead of myself and stuff but try to follow me here) Now, if you look at Voldemort compared to another Harry Potter “Villain” like Grindelwald, Voldemort had no consistency. He had a hatred for muggle borns but tended to not have any hatred toward half bloods as long as they shared his beliefs. His war was also heavily motivated by his hatred for Dumbledore and mostly contained to the UK wizarding world. It seems like Voldemort, or Tom, really just had no mercy and a lot of influence. He promised those who worked with him great power, and people flocked to him. It’s also canon that a good portion of Voldemort’s followers, followed him out of fear. Tom’s gang turned into Voldemort’s death eaters but as time passed, Voldemort promised almost nothing to his followers. Most of the things he had his followers do only furthered his own individual power. So, it would make sense that once those death eaters had children, and those same children were exposed to Hogwarts and other wizards would realize that the beliefs they’d been raised with were lies. Most of the death eaters, especially the ones that didn’t share Voldemort’s beliefs but joined him out of fear, probably only raised their children the way they did thinking that as long as their children shared Voldemort’s beliefs, they would be out of danger and saved from Voldemort’s wrath.
Warning:
Visiting AJ’s Library means that you agree to kindly disregard the Golden Trio.
I prefer the Marauders Era and I mess with it as much as I wish. Some of the things I change could impact the Golden Trio Era and frankly, I don’t care.
Don’t tell me that my headcanons are wrong. They are headcanons. Things that are canon in my head. I choose to share them, you don’t have to choose to read them.

Webbard City
I’ve previously mentioned how Webbard City would me a safe place for wizards in America like Hogsmeade is for those in England.
Thinking about Webbard City being a fully functioning city with homes and jobs but magic is e v e r y w h e r e . The place is somewhere between traditional wizard and modern no-maj.
Bsf Notebooks
y/n and Remus have a pair of enchanted notebooks so that if y/n were to write in their notebook, it would also show up in their friend Remus’. Remus just got back to the dorms one day to see Sirius doodling little things all over the notebook. Y/n just watching as hearts and sketches of motorcycles appear all over her notebook page and then writing back “Hey Siri...” Then, Sirius yelps, “Moony your book is haunted!” and throws it at Remus.
