Feeling risky, Emery takes a bet from one of the merchants regarding the axe throwing. Well accustomed to using the tool, he wins handily and nets the family an amazing 5,000 gold.

(This was their ROS event for the season!)

The loss of Espen has hit both of the Cowcrosses hard, so they go on an outing to the Spring Faire hoping the Saint Brother Spring can help them move on and grow their family again.

Unfortunately tragedy strikes this season as Espen dies in his sleep not long after he starts teething.

Both parents make sure baby Espen is cared for and loved.

Baby Espen Cowcross, a baby boy is birthed outside, but doesn't seem any worse for wear for it.

As Alys was already aggressively pregnant at the start of the round, midwife Phoebe was summoned to help around the house and get ready for the upcoming birth. Alys is very excited to see her.

Emery makes money by providing firewood, branches, and the bounties of the forest to the people of Roche Rock, as well as some wood-working goods. Additionally, his dogs Lady and Nosewise also have had two litters which help provide some additional income. The yeoman family the Fahlens, who manage the Hedge Tavern, and the Asche's both have pups from Lady and Nosewise. However, pictured is little Argent who Alys has taken a liking to.

RECAP: cowcross

During winter, Emery met Alys when she was shopping at his stall, before they had the Lucie's to sell their goods for them. They fell in love quickly, and he proposed and married her at his home that season due to the fact the church was still under construction and the Father was still on-route to Roche Rock. She fell pregnant quickly, however unbeknowst to her (and to me!) he was also tempted by the Annabelle Asche, the local Baroness of Roche Rock. (They have three bolts!!)

However, as their difference in station is far too wide to gap, he does truly love Alys, and Annabelle is also recently happily married, he is trying to remain loyal to his growing family.

INTRODUCTION: cowcross

Emery was raised by his sister, never having known his parents. After he came of age, she was able to find a husband herself and start the family she always wanted- unfortunately for him, her husband was from the next village over. Managing their woodcutting business himself was dificult, but made easier with his two small dogs Lady, a Spaniel, and Nosewise, a beagle. However, when he met Alys, a wandering minstrel, he knew it was time to settle down and start his own family. Alys had always dreamed of having a family of her own. She was orphaned at a young age and taken in by a group of wanderers and entertainers, but she never had much of a passion for it, mostly cleaning and cooking for them rather than performing herself. She is happy to find a place her in Roche Rock and a true love connection in Emery. She is doubly excited now that they are expecting their first child. Phoebe manages to sell her goods off to Aloys Lucie (who we will meet later and who I did not take a picture of) and ended up with a hefty savings of 16,604. She had never considered advancing her position within the village, especially now as a single mother, but it is worth thinking about it, at least for Anselm's sake. We will see what the future brings for both of them.

While she didn't see herself as a mother, Phoebe is pretty good at taking care of little Anselm, even around her studies of magic and medicine.

She also makes sure to give Mincemeat plenty of attention.

Now, with a little one to feed and care for, Phoebe has to fill up her stocks so she can sell a profitable amount of goods to the Lucie family, who run a market nearer to the center of town. Despite not being able to sell her potions at the Faire, she figures some ''love'' potions will always be good sellers and brews some up to send along as well.
