Having a good work ethic and the technical know-how to complete tasks that need to be done makes it really difficult to not do a bunch of work that I am not getting paid to do

#this is what happens when you are in a “leadership” position (making 25 cents more than minimum wage) and your boss is fired #and the other person above you got covid and had to leave a few days before his two weeks were up #none of this is my problem so idk why i'm so stressed about it. they do not pay me enough to stress about it #listening to joan baez in the office and made some gross coffee and i'm trying to chill tf out

I (re)watched the first episode of Sherlock, in London, while eating fish and chips. Middle school me would be so proud

#the show is a lot cringier on a rewatch. lots of sherlock being a 2010s edgelord #a lot of the deductions he makes just don't work (aside from the infamous alcoholic plugging in phone charger #there's a lot of reasons for a woman to be frequently taking off her wedding ring. She also might just have a fun coat and a dull suitcase.#And it all does take a moment to set up but my nostalgia brain still loves it. they could never make me hate it

Hey good news. Good news. We hemmed and hawed so long about the situation with the Omelas hole that the kid in the Omelas hole is now the Adult in the Omelas hole. Still suffering exactly as much, but they've lost the charisma bump that a kid gets just from being a kid so the sense of moral urgency is pretty, you know, I mean it's still bad, but like, whatever, you know.
