This is my six year old cousin. He's been begging us to go camping for the past few months. When we did, all he did every day was throw rocks and sand in the water and then sit like this for a few hours. Also, his legs are like restless noodles and he kept kicking me in his sleep and he yells a lot when I need a nap because I can't sleep because he has noodle legs. But at least we went camping?

When I was in fifth grade, I went back to the Philippines for a family reunion. Since we're from Mindanao, we all decided to rent a van and drive out to Bohol. The only reason I was ever on this bridge was because I was curious about what was on the other side. It had just rained and the water was raging underneath and I didn't know how to swim, so I was scared because I knew that if I fell, I would probably die. But I was more curious than I was scared, so I eventually did cross the bridge with a little encouragement from my uncle. Turned out that it was just a vendor selling tarsier shaped keychains. I bought one.

Me, my family, and some of our friends about to go boating sometime in the summer of '96. Proof of my newly immigrated parents' love of the unknown, or maybe the familiar. I don't know why these are black and white. I think my mom just felt like processing them that way.

Mint-coated espresso beans, vanilla caramel candy sticks - both at Winners for $5 each

Those individually wrapped Godiva things that look kind of like Lindt - $4 at Winners for a bag (we bought two because dayum, those bags are small)

Pink tulle - $2.50 for a metre at Fabricland

Cost:

If you just made the boxes, $.45 each, but because of all the added flavor, approximately $1.71. All totals to about $40 for 24 tacos, and, because I live in Canada, $45. Not sure if I actually saved any money buying supplies at Dollarama, but at least I can pretend I did because it's Dollarama.

Haven't been feeling very socializy or tumblry lately. Family is currently trying to buy an RV so that we won't have to live out of our mom van anymore. Always get weird looks from our RV neighbors when we park our little beige Sienna next to them at campsites.

Fifteen year old me was very fascinated by lamps, hence the literal hundreds of photos that I have of me in various poses with this poor, undeserving lamp.
