i always see ppl wonder why so many ppl leave the fandom and they complain about a lack of good fics and hcs and art and then are microaggressive or straight up aggressive or (un)intentionally push out minorities and/or anyone who has any semblance of different views or opinions or ideas or worldviews and lived experiences or remind people that the story isn’t just uwu soft traumatized boys and awwww sad angst

idk what it is about summer specifically that has people on tumblr being so hateful (not just with the outsiders, like this is across multiple fandoms) but y’all need to pull yourselves together fr i’m sorry it’s ridiculous

idk why people think they’re not allowed to simply scroll past content they don’t agree with because hey! you can do that! and then no one has any problems! you can even do something very simple called blocking someone if you see their content often and don’t agree with it!

this is coming from someone who has 27 asks in his inbox wishing actual harm against him all because he finds bob an interesting character like. do y’all realise how fucking stupid that is.

a point i will reiterate every time i post a psa: the outsiders is about found family. it is about finding community in a world where you are at a disadvantage. and yet the blatant racism, fatphobia, sometimes homophobia, seems to be non stop. and you wonder why so many blogs stop posting outsiders content.

okay, i actually really like bob as a character, and i think his actions are explainable when you consider his home life and other possible factors, but you would never catch me clapping along to the scenes where he’s like 🧍 attacking a 14 year old boy for literally being poor 🧍

i think this is another thing about media literacy and how some people do choose to forgo really analysing the story at a deeper level (not that it makes you less of a fan! i just think it’s important seeing as the whole point of the show is that no one is inherently evil!)

i’m seeing a lot of shit on insta and am tired and in a bad mood so i’m saying this here. it sucks when a performer can’t go on, it’s fine to be upset a bit. but don’t go blaming anyone or acting entitled to information the people may not have even known til recently. calm down, take a breath, and realize that live theatre isn’t perfect and things change quickly.

and yes tickets are expensive and outsiders fans are always very supportive of debuts, but i mean i thought i was seeing patrick page in hadestown until the night before so??? anything is subject to change, and it’s okay to be frustrated, but the social media team might still be waiting on a call to post, or the debut date might not be set in stone, etc. they are just doing their jobs as best they can rn!!
