For a game that prides itself on forgiveness you'd think the fanbase would be a lot more susceptible to the "I don't think I could ever forgive you for that, but I'd like to try" line If people wanna be optimistic about the potential of Ellie and Abby forgiving each other, finding common ground, understanding one another, and MAYBE, just maybe, being having SOME form of a connection, its in their right to do that and they should not be accused of having toxic mindsets or "issues". Like what? Its fiction, these characters aren't real, you're allowed to have what-ifs that consider the pain and trauma but also consider the possibility of mending it. You're also allowed to not give a shit about any of that! But those of us who do enjoy what a post-canon reality could look like for them are not toxic for that, nor do we have issues, for thinking that

The name on Eddie's tongue sent a shiver down his spine, when people called him that all of the time it was just a name, but when they do it like Eddie does? on special occasions? when it needs to be said? then it becomes something special. "Right because we're just friends." Buck said with fake confidence, but to his own ears it sounded like a lie. Were they friends? Yes. Because they couldn't afford to be anything else.

Eddie looked at Buck making eye contact, searching his eyes in the way Eddie does that makes Buck go weak in the knees. "Yeah, just friends." Neither of them believe it and they both know that and they both knew they were stuck on that line between lovers and friends. Neither wanting to cross the line.

Christmas Eve…the night before Christmas, for many Christmas Eve was a time of laughing and good cheer, outside the world slept under a blanket of snow, there was a quiet understanding of something magical the one night everyone agreed maybe just maybe there was something magical on this earth. Christmas Eve was not just a day but a feeling of happiness and good cheer. Where somebody can pretend that everything was okay.

For Merlin it was a time to remember all that he’s lost, all that was broken. A family he once knew.

Somebody he once loved.

For today he stood where the shores of Avalon once lay. Now it was a private lake where you could only look out over a cliff. Merlin came to this cliff every Christmas Eve as he remembers.

Arthur.

The lake was just as beautiful as when Arthur had died in it, perhaps even more beautiful because the sun, the light that was once in the man he once loved was now consumed by the lake. The lake was silver like a diamond flame and the atmosphere was a quiet peaceful night. As the moon shone above it. Bright glowing yellow and white it created a soft silver glow.
