Day 30/100 of productivity · 2/23/21
Pretty average productivity day today. I am hopeful to get a little more done this afternoon, but since Stanley decided to block all of my work, I decided it is time to take a break!

Hi everyone! This blog went inactive for a while because I graduated in May (🥳). However, studying doesn't end after undergrad! I am working now on studying for my Fundamentals of Engineering exam. I am also preparing to start grad school in the near future.
Days until FE: 92
reverse gaslighting where i pretend to know exactly what you are talking about
academic conferences
dark academia / online school
• slow mornings now that you don’t have to commute – brewing coffee & reading as you eat breakfast, journaling in black ink while sitting in a comfortable armchair
• getting ready to preserve a sense of normalcy – wearing jewelry & a soft knit, tying a ribbon in your hair & applying lipstick but carefully making it look a little smudged as if it was all very effortless
• setting a mood – lighting candles & fairy lights to create a warm atmosphere
• drinking more coffee during lectures & taking all of your notes by hand, ink flowing on soft paper as you eagerly mark down all of the new information your professor is sharing
• taking walks during breaks – wrapping yourself up in your oversized coat to go watch the nature or buildings around you, to observe birds or passers-by, noticing the change of seasons
• finding joy in putting your vast vocabulary to use when writing essays, making your digital assignments look as old as possible & handing everything in weeks in advance in order to spend the rest of the course just researching whatever you feel like
• listening to jazz & classical music all day long, only making it quieter during lessons in case you have to answer any questions
• asking your teacher for additional reading & staying up late, completely submerged in your books
• dreaming of lectures in old wood-panelled halls, lying on the grass under the campus’ most ancient tree, hearing other student’s pens gliding on paper again once the pandemic is in the past
“The most productive ones get started early in the morning, when the world is quiet, the phones aren’t ringing, and their minds are rested, alert, and not yet polluted by other people’s words. They might set a goal for themselves—write fifteen hundred words, or stay at their desk until noon—but the real secret is that they do this every day. In other words, they are disciplined. Over time, as the daily routines become second nature, discipline morphs into habit.”

Finally got round to reading this and I’m already hooked.

I haven't checked in on this blog in a really long time. Design 1 is kicking my ass, but I'm surviving. I have 15 more days until I am done with this semester, and then I have one more semester and I'm done.
I have also been working on my Spanish again, reading, birdwatching, and crocheting. I am trying to still do the things I enjoy for fun while in school, rather than waiting to enjoy my life until my degree is done.
25.01.2020 // in two weeks my finals start and i really don't want to think about that. i'm scared about my oral exam in spanish. the lockdown seems with every day more difficult. day after day is the same and i miss a lot of people.

72/100 days of productivity
Incluso me he animado a programar mi propio bot de discord. Si funciona, será un gran logro.
En realidad casi he completado los 100 días del challenge, llevo desde principios de septiembre. Pero wueno.
november 1st, 2021 | university is pure chaos but at least my desk looks cute i guess

Autumn season is exam season ~ let me water the dry fallen leaves with my tears.
let me introduce stem academia
from now on we’re calling all the stem folk ‘students of the unhallowed arts’, just like mary shelley wanted us to do
lab days.
friday, october 29th, 2021 | happy friday! I finished reading Gideon the Ninth last night and it was so, so good! I didn’t expect this book to draw me in this much, but it did! I’ve already checked out the sequel from the library & I’m excited to start reading. but first, I have to study for my last midterm! I hope you all have a fun & safe halloween weekend!
i just said the same thing on twitter but please please please consider standing up for remote learning options even if everything does somehow go back to normal. so many physically disabled people drop out of school/college because of inaccessibilty. we have been asking for an option like this for so long and keeping it would change the lives of sooooo many people. we have an opportunity to start reforming the educational system to be more accessible to disabled and poor people and i really dont want to lose remote options because ableds are too lazy to keep hosting video calls.
this is okay to reblog but physically abled ppl be quiet!
