Here at Sky Spa we like a CAN DO attitude but right now it feels like we’re only being told about all the things we can’t do. So we've compiled a short list of positive things that you CAN do whilst we're all gripped by the Coronavirus pandemic. So you CAN… ..Build on positives, lose the negatives. Whilst we’re practicing social distancing and isolation from everything, why not begin to thoughtfully distance yourself from people and things that you feel are a virus on your life? Distance yourself from toxic negativity. Keep positive relationships and do things that make you happy and feel loved 👍🏻 …Exercise. Although advice is saying for us to avoid crowded and busy areas that doesn’t mean you can’t exercise. As always exercise will help both the body and mind. Therefore keeping any potential anxiety and depression away. Smaller, less populated exercise areas are probably your best bet (good job we keep our classes small and less populated 😁). 🏃 …Eat healthier. With lots of bread and pasta disappearing from the supermarket shelves that means we can choose the healthier options. Just to let you know frozen vegetables are often just as healthy as fresh ones as they don’t need as many preservatives. 🥦 …Go for a walk. Anybody notice that the weather has got better?! Just because you’re staying away from busy places doesn’t mean you can’t go outside. 🚶‍♀️ …Unplug yourself. Try to unplug yourself away from technology for a while. It’s great to stay aware of the latest measures but its never healthy spending too much time scrolling through endless social media posts. 🚫📱 …Get some sleep. Use this time to ensure you get the correct amount of sleep. Aim for 8 hours a night if possible. Good quality sleep has many benefits including helping reduce stress, improve concentration and help reduce the risk of heart disease. 😴 …Keep in touch with friends and family. CORONAVIRUS - what you can do to stay healthy and put your body in a better position to fight off disease/viruses. I wanted to reach out today to talk about ways you can remain positive, hopeful and healthy. The media are doing a great job at fuelling people’s fears and anxieties. These times can be very stressful, and stress does a lot of harm to the body, including killing our immune system. Which right now, we all need to be strengthening. I personally choose to not live in fear and would prefer to focus my time on the things I can control and not what’s out of my control. I pray that there will be an end ASAP to this insanity that is going on in our world right now. I am avoiding the negativity and turning my mind to what i can do to keep my family and myself healthy. So, aside from the obvious... hygiene, social distancing, staying home if you are feeling unwell etc. I am loading up with my daily supplements to strengthen my immune function, staying on top of hydration, eating healthy, exercising, yoga & meditation. My daily essentials Multi-Vitamin Vitamin C Plus Omegas Probiotics Antioxidants Turmeric Glucosamine Apple cider vinegar Super greens powder Organic coconut oil Lemon water The Kids are having Vitamin C & D Multi-Vitamin Fish oil Probiotics Lots of water Fresh fruit smoothies Try and remain calm and focus your energy inwards.
