Today I bring to you a quick sketch of the Eurasian eagle-owl in oil on corrugated cardboard. Was pretty minimal with brushstrokes and pigments I used, sort of as a challenge, but it still looks like a mildly unimpressed bird so I call this a success. Scanned on 600 dpi.

Also it looks much better small, thought it’s almost A4 (but square-er) and I was using the biggest brush I own.

Did you know it’s binomial is Bubo bubo? Now you do, you’re welcome :)
