so MY personal headcanon is that shane and ilya actually didn't say each other's names at all during the tampa hotel room hook up because that last little "goodnight shane" as shane is leaving is in fact the first time ilya has been able to muster the courage to say it again since the last time...and the way he says it...i've just thought it sounds like a test. "will you run this time? will you get scared again? shane? goodnight shane." and shane just smiles and blushes, and so confidently before he leaves, gives him back a "goodnight ilya" with that little nod that just says not this time. i'm not running this time. i'm not running ever again. goodnight ilya.
