extremely weird ice cream experience
me: uh yeah can i have (your signature sundae with lavender blueberry syrup and blondie bits and pine nut honeycomb)
guy at the window making unbroken unblinking eye contact: yeah here you go
me: are you sure this is it
him: yup *closes window so i cant ask for spoon or say anything else*
here’s what i actually ordered and i got it when i went up to a different window and was like “hey that guy said these are the sundae i ordered and i’m super sure it’s not” and the dude was like “uh what the fuck”
depression has got me acting cringy as fuck dude
I like it when people with absolutely disgusting, degenerate, atrocious opinions (politics, ethics, whatever) also happen to have a standard of argument/evidence that boils down to "if science doesn't say I'm wrong then I'm right haha." Literal centuries of aesthetic, moral, and ontological reasoning are completely inaccessible to them because it doesn't happen in a lab.
The kicker is that they'll concede only to the total shitshow that is psychology as "science," since it takes only access to a keyboard to find literally any psych journal that can support literally any opinion. Just don't try to review its methodology or try to replicate it or try to apply it okay no really it's science
Frog and cranberries it must be fall.
was told i “come off as a neurotic person” yesterday
u ever talk to someone and wish you could be like, “god i totally understand where you’re coming from, and yes this DOES suck a lot, but your shift leader at panda express is not like, a member of the capitalist class, he’s just some dude who’s worked at panda express for a while, and him telling the manager and the manager firing you for your third no-call no-show doesn’t make him like, your oppressor, he’s just some dude who probably has nothing to look forward to in life except like, his biweekly board game nights with the same friends he’s had since high school, and you should be able to relate to that because you also have never left the town you grew up in, which is FINE, i’m just saying like, you shouldn’t key Dan’s shitty 2003 mini cooper, he doesn’t own capital, if anything you should be mad at the MANAGER, but even then i don’t know if he counts as a member of the capitalist class either, so like, find another panda express, there is no dearth of panda expresses around here, and it doesn’t even have to be panda express, i think panera pays a lil better”
u good?
I’M fine, but i know some folks who are not
“coming of age” books and movies are so stupid like being a teenager isn’t about having sex and going to parties it’s about staring out your car window after hanging out with your old best friends who you haven’t seen in months and realizing that you aren’t actually friends anymore and that your childhood has been well and truly dead since you were thirteen
The thing about Those White People Baby Names is the way they so poetically express the tension between individuality and rigid conformity. These parents all want to name their child something unique, because they value the concept of uniqueness, yet simultaneously they abhor it in practice… ergo, 30 different spelling variations on the most normative possible names. This homogeneity-masquerading-as-diversity is inseparable from capitalist consumer culture and in fact is directly analogous to the experience of walking into a grocery store and being asked to “choose” between 50 varieties of toothpaste with the same exact ingredients, 12 brands of laundry detergent, etc.
Somebody’s third eye is WIDE the fuck open??!!!!!!!
