Today I got oil all over my favorite Nike T-shirt. I lifted it a few months ago and have worn it an embarrassing amount of times since. I was upset when I realized there was oil on it, but even then, do you wanna know what the first thought in my head was? “Thank god I didn’t pay for this”. That shirt retails for $40, and it’s a basic ass t-shirt. If I actually spent money on it, I know I would’ve been devastated. But I wasn’t. All I was thinking about was that now I was gonna have to go to the mall and steal another one, nothing but a mere inconvenience. No feeling awful that I spent so much on something so simple and now it’s ruined and I’ll have to spend 40 more dollars to get another one.

And that’s what I love about lifting.

I have a friend who works at France$ca’$ and she brought up people who come to the store and lift. She told me that if they think someone is shoplifting that they can’t do or say anything towards the suspect. Instead, they have to call mall security. By the time the mall security arrives, the person usual has already left the store and nothing happens. Not sure if this is for all France$ca’S or just my local one. 

She also mentioned how there is also a known lifter in the mall who comes in wearing wigs and disguises. I see a lot of tips about wearing wigs and disguises. Be careful, it might not be as smooth as you think it is.
