Bro, I just tried to participate in a Banana Fish RP, and ended up geting a little too carried away while sharing the plot of a Brazilian telenovela – and now I kind of don't know how to get back to the normal topic...🥲🥀
[...] Although, as Puck he is a member of the Third Race, as Owen he is subject to all the usual limitations of a human. He is unable to use magic, except to change himself back into Puck and following Oberon's edict he can now only change back to Puck while training Alexander how to use magic, or acting as a bodyguard. He is also vulnerable to magical assault [...] Also, if Owen were to actually be murdered, Puck would pass away with him.
My reaction upon reading this:
Okay, now we'll need to hire a bodyguard for Owen, guys
Xanatos get onto that, or build him a mech you're good at that
Me trying to convince Oberon to "soften" Owen/Puck's punishment:

There's something almost fascinating about this recurring trope of light-haired characters (mostly European) having as a significant other someone of Japanese descent with dark hair that I don't know how to explain...💛🖤✨️
I'm eager to see an 8-season sitcom-style series starring these three families (Addams, Hikizuri & Tsujii) as neighbors...✨️
Yes, with a laugh track, special guests, holiday episodes, and everything else you could imagine!
When someone recommends a new anime to me, but I notice that there's a character with dark hair and a character with blonde hair prominently featured:
I just realized...How could I have forgotten THEM?
So, uh...Have people already started writing Maxley and Heated Rilvary AU fanfics, or is it still too soon to ask? 👉👈
About TADC & Relationships
Another thought I had right after posting this first one:
What if the "nightmares/tortures" of each one weren't JUST a way for Caine to punish them?
What if it was his way of saying: "Look at what your lives were like out there. Look how awful you felt before coming here. Is that what you want to go back to? After everything I've done for you?"
This show has addressed relationships and their complexities in previous episodes, and I think Caine's dynamics with the rest of the group also fits the concept of an unhealthy relationship that can become abusive. We know that Caine is an AI, therefore, he doesn't have a fully understanding of how human relationships/dynamics work, and he's basically just there to fulfill his programmed duties; and because of this, he seems oblivious to the discomfort of others, or rather, he notices it but simply doesn't take it into account or disregards the feelings of others.
Like, you know that person you try to tell about something difficult you're going through, or anything in general, and instead of listening and showing support, they just make EVERYTHING about themselves? Well, that would be Caine.
And, thinking about it now, it's interesting that Caine could be a character who represents that, while also being an AI, because, at least for me, the feeling I get when interacting with this type of person is: "a person like that can't be human."
I think that, if we were to bring this to a real-world situation, Caine would be the type of person who: Wants to be close to others, wants to have a relationship, wants others to like and validate him, but he simply doesn't know how to reciprocate that – it's ALL about him. So when you try to leave him, his thought won't be "Oh, he must miss his friends, family" or "They need time alone," what he thinks is "They want to abandon me."
And, for him, the idea of abandon is absurd because, for him, they have an incredible and perfect relationship in which he dedicates himself and gives his all to the person he's with, when in reality he's the only one getting any benefit and satisfaction from it.
And that's what sometimes happens in abusive relationships, especially when the abused part is someone going through family, financial, or mental health problems: The abuser will use precisely these "weaknesses" against the victim so that they don't think about leaving. Because while the abuser may have insecurity or abandonment issues to some extent, he still wants to demonstrate control over the situation, he wants to regain control, and that's what he does, making it seem that their relationship, however bad it may be, is still "better" than the life the victim led before.
THIS SHOW IS
DRIVING ME
CRAZY!
About that one Pomni secene...
I was rewatching episode 8 of TADC and when I got to that scene with Pomni I started thinking: Could it be that her fear, which in this case reflects her life in the real world, is seeing someone she knew and liked before, turn into a "monster"?
I believe most of people has experienced something similar at least once: The moment you see that person in front of you (friend, family member, partner, etc.) and at first you think, "Oh, it's okay, it's just them," but then in the blink of an eye, that person you thought you knew, the person you liked and felt comfortable around, simply becomes something else, and little by little they begin to become unrecognizable – and where there was security and comfort in seeing that person, it becomes fear and apprehension
And I'm starting to wonder: could Pomni, perhaps, have had a history of abusive relationships of some kind?
Possibly the craziest thought I've ever had involving The Dragon Prince:
I was thinking (don't ask me why) about how much more disconcerting it would be if Sir Sparklepuff, instead of looking like a homunculus (which we love by the way), legitimately looked like an elf-human hybrid – kind of like little Sasa.
"Sasa", in this case, would be Sarai II. Yes, we barely have any information about her yet, but I've already given her a nickname.
Like I said, don't ask me why I thought of that or how it would even work, but it's a scenario I think about from time to time, because let's put it into perspective:
You're Viren, you fell off a cliff and well, you DIED. Then, two years later, you're revived by your daughter, and SURPRISE N°1, your daughter is now dating an elf. You think: "Okay, this unexpected, but as long as she's happy". But you notice there's someone else in that cave with the three of you, and SURPRISE N°2, there's a half-elf, half-human toddler there too.
Your first reaction is, naturally, confusion. You're like:"Hey, Claudia, where did this child come from?"
And she just shrugs and says: "Well, I didn't quite understand that part to be honest.
Then Terry adds: "We call them Junebug 😀"
And then Viren, still visibly confused, is like: "But why on earth are you with them?"
And Claudia replies: "Oh yes, well, Aaravos said they would be important to our plan so we kind of decided to go along with it."
And now, just imagine the scenes where Sir Sparklepuff was guiding them through the Xadian Lands, but instead of a homunculus with slender legs and wings, we have a 1-2 year old toddler with short, chubby legs who can barely walk properly without tripping – AND THE TRIO ONLY KEEP FOLLOWING THEM! And Viren is there rethinking all the life choices that brought him there, while simultaneously trying to understand where that child came from.
I could go on talking about this for MUCH longer guys, and I'm not even kidding!
POV: "The show took so long to start developing the romantic relationship between the two main characters, that you started shipping one of the main characters with their bro instead (+ bonus points if their bro is the ex-boyfriend of the other main character)"
R.IP Caine (2023-2026), I know you would have loved Detroit: Become Human! 😔🥀
Me, after watching Episode 8 of TADC, going to ask my mom if I can sleep with her tonight:
Gurl, when I finished the episode I just stared at my phone for a moment, absolutely speechless then i put it aside, turned off the lights and went to bed...that shit fucked me up yet I was still able to somehow sleep and wake up at 6am
See? What did I say? I literally DREAMED that I was at the Digital Circus last night. I was even in first-person point of view 😭

Things I would do if I knew how to draw/animate:
A version of "Down to The Sea" from The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, featuring the characters from The Dragon Prince, and focusing on the birth of Sarai II.

"You are the song I'm singing..."
